"Man I am a full-grown adult and it kills me that this pool is only like so many feet deep. I'm dying to actually go swimming. And that is such a beautiful pool. I wish they'd expand it for adults too, But I'm glad the kiddos have something to do to. Safely."
"Fun place for a family, everytime we have went the kids have always had a good time!!"
"Beautiful pool. Unfortunately it said it was open but no one was there. The number rang with no answer, but once I tracked down their FB page I got a quick response letting me know it’s only open on the weekends now. Huge bummer for my kids, but we will try to come back on the weekend."
"My husband, son and I came to this pool because my husband stays in Dryden, VA for work but works in Norton, VA and was on call (he can’t be further than 30 minutes from Norton hospital while on call.) Upon parking and walking in we were told admission was free! We were a little confused but took the free admission! About 30 minutes after arriving to the pool we were approached by a gentlemen who came in the side gate by the slides with a cooler filled with water. He added ice to the cooler and said he would be placing it on a nearby bench and told us to help ourselves. We spoke with the man again later as he asked where we were from and it became a evident that he was the owner/manager of the pool. He explained that since the flooding in late July 2022 he had not been charging admission to his pool as a way to give back and we thought that was wonderful! Everyone at the pool was super nice and our son had a blast! The pool is also connected to a Mexican restaurant called Paco’s and has a small concession stand and indoor air conditioned restrooms that are in a stand alone building caddy corner to the pool and Paco’s! If we lived closer I know we would definitely return but for now we were just glad that the pool was an option and that it was so clean and well maintained. Everyone being so nice and kind was a plus as well!"
"My kids love this place and so do folks from neighboring communities who do not have a public pool. Located between Little Elkhorn lake and a great Mexican restaurant, the pool offers fresh pizza, drinks, chips, hot dogs, etc and admission is more than fair. Great life guards keep everyone safe and in check. There’s umbrellas, cabanas, lounging chairs, bathrooms, changing rooms, a designated smoking area away from the pool, two slides in the 5ft end and a small slide and splash pad for the youngsters. Great atmosphere and always enjoyable. The pool can also be reserved for parties, just check with one of the workers and they will fix you up"
