Reviews of Treesdale Apartments
"Applied in may of 2023 got approved, was told nothing would be available for another 90 days, 90 days passed was told still nothing, I’ve sent emails and even went up there and was still told nothing was available but the website is showing available apartments, it is now January 2024 and I have still yet to hear anything back regarding any availability , very unprofessional"
"This is the worst place to live. They treat you like inmates. Management is terrible. There is no guest parking and they tow. Not only do they tow, they use the worst towing company in charlottesville. Not only that, they give no guest passes for your guests. The walls are ridiculously thin that you can hear conversations from other apartments when they're speaking in their regular voices. The layout of the inside is senseless. When i first moved in it took them MONTHS to replace my washer. Apartment was infested with roaches when i moved in AND THEY KNEW ABOUT IT! but still allowed me to move in. i didn't notice until a couple weeks in. I was terrified. and then they tried to make it seem like it was my issues because i had dishes in the sink from the evening before. there is nothing for the kids to do at all. they have a little baby play ground and a field, but yet they expect you to keep your children out of the hallways. This is just the worst place ever to reside i dont recommend it for anyone."
"I always paid my rent on time. I paid my bills for water when they sent them, which was sporadic at best. Had to ask office every month what the water bill was. Trash bins always overflowed and stank in warm months. They constantly came to inspect and complained that we had too much furniture or boxes in the apartment. Washer leaked constantly for first two months before they replaced. Neighbors upstairs had undisciplined kids who constantly fought screamed and yelled at odd hours. You could hear arguments in the middle of the night when the father beat everyone. Pictures would fall off the walls in my place when kids would knock over furniture. Their kids would hit cars with bikes and toys . Those kids were completely unsupervised, and ran rampant in complex. Management did nothing to abate issue. Management would often come into the apartment with less than 24 hours notice to inspect or fix nonexistent maintenance. They constantly left demand letters over non issues, while ignoring serious issues such as roach infestations. Commode in master bathroom took over six months to be repaired. The excuse Fran gave was that they were looking for new help and that I had a second bathroom to use so it was not an issue. Apartment had moldy old carpet that was only half replaced so apartment had mold smell constantly. The straw that broke the camel's back was when the washer broke and was not repaired until after I gave notice to move out. For two months, I had to wash clothes at a laundromat and bring home to dry. Strangely, while washer was broken, my water bill that they manage went up 20 dollars a month. I moved out in October but still had to pay rent until January, as they could not rent apartment. Then they never had me in for a move out inspection but charged me for utilities and damages after I was out! Then when they finally sent me deposit the check issued from a bank that does not have a branch in this state, it was also issued in my and my dependent child's name so I could not easily cash it. Do not rent from any Park Properties or Treesdale. My mistake was not sending certified mail with complaints so I could document issues in court.... It was even hard to get a copy of the lease from them!!!! NOT A GOOD LANDLORD!!!!!"
"Not only are the staff a bit disorganized STILL, it honestly feels like they dont care and honestly neither do some of the tenants. The kids still run the halls being loud as ever and banging on people's doors. They claim to have cameras everywhere but they're not even hooked to anything. They put cameras in the garage but they drilled holes in the first level apartments and didn't even cork the hole correctly so bugs from the garage fly up and make home in your "storage closet" which they lock after they change the filter. Why do they lock it? When the power cuts off - btw they do not have a backup generator they lied- the boiler starts making this annoying beeping every 30 seconds. You have to reset it but you cant get in the closet because they locked it. They had an extremely bad infestation of roaches which they handled extremely poorly. It started from the building across from the clubhouse and spread radically throughout the complex. Instead of them doing one building at the same time, they choose to do 2 or 3 apartments in a building every couple of weeks. The company they hired to do the extermination made it worst - putting baits down that attracted them and acted as a house and not a death trap. It took them the whole of 6 years to finish the ugly lawn. It smelled absolutely atrocious outside for the longest of time and looked disgusting. They do nothing about complaints and when you need a work order done, be prepared to wait 3 months before anything gets done. And then they come into your house, sometimes without your permission. I dont know how many times I've gone to go unlock the door for them but before I could, they came barging into the door. They are lucky i dont own a big dog. That could have ended badly if it were territorial. Dont get me started on the inspections. They do one every month and it's never on the same day. They are random and without warning to "check filters". Before the new management came, they actually fined us for a dirty apartment because we have paper on top of a printer. Where else would paper go???? There is an area for dogs to be walked, people still dont pick up after their dog even though there is a poop station and its probably not even the tenants. It's the houses directly next them that aren't even owned by treesdale. The apartments are nice, the halls are always disgusting, people smoke with no regards - they'll do it directly under your window - there are kids and a lot of the demons running around. They skateboard in the garage and cause damage to people cars. The cameras in the garage apparently dont work because nothing comes of reporting them. They are not consist, they fluctuate the rent cost from time to time. They lose track of who paid what and make you pay more because THEY lost the record for it or their website was down or the website had an error or the website isn't the way to do it or suddenly you're not enrolled for electronic payments online. Stay here at your own risk. -A tenant that lived here since the buildings were built until mid year of '18"
"I have lived here for 4 years. I love the cosmetics of the apartment. 2 full bathrooms in a 2 bedroom, full size washer and dryer, the utilities and rent are manageable and the office staff are very pleasant. The two things I don't like are their is no place for the children to play so they run up and down the stairs and through the hallways. The second thing is the apartments are so thin that living underneath people that have no respect for others the stomping and running on top of your head is horrible."
