Dawson Ford Garbee Leasing

"Called Dawson ford garbee leasing about an apartment for rent. They said we can come view it right away because they were there until 3pm and that if we were a little late (due to being an hour away) that we could call and they’d stay a little later. Tried to call otw to tell them we were cutting it close but would make it on time but the signal was bad. However, We got there a few mins before the time we were supposed to be there just to be told he already left and it’s too bad. AFTER AN HOUR DRIVE!! 0/10 don’t reccomend this disgusting unprofessional excuse of a business cause they could’ve just said no and saved us money and a drive. And when we called them after arriving everything changed and they said “we said it was a possibility he’d be there”.. that was a lie because why tell us to call if we would be a little late if that is the case. I’m not mad about not getting the apartment, I’m mad because they wasted our time and money and didn’t care in the slightest and tried to lie to us."

"Unorganized, no they don't compromise. Does not stand for a company that cares about the community. And hung the phone up in my face as I was trying to plead my case. I'm so dissatisfied where we did not get a chance at all. All because of an old bill that I did not know about on my credit report from year 2014."

"The worst property management company I’ve ever encountered. Highly unprofessional, rude and petty. They are completely inconsiderate of their tenants time and lives. The first red flag was that the unit was not clean when we moved in. The air filter looked as though it had not been changed in over a year. The lint in the dryer filter was literally two inches thick. There were crumbs all over the floors. The windows were disgusting. But it was too late to back out so we moved in. What a mistake. Due to their rudeness and inconsiderate behavior (trying to enter the apartment repeatedly for non-necessary/non-emergent reasons on short notice, which violates Virginia law), we are intending to terminate our contract early. As we seek to purchase a home we refuse to even consider anything owned by this company. Would never recommend that anyone rent or buy from them, no matter how lovely the unit or home."

"We are renting a property owned and managed by them and they are unprofessional and petty. We are ending our contract early because of that. We are in the process of purchasing a home and loved a home listed by them and the reason we didn't go with that home is because it was also listed by the same company. Even if you love a rental unit, having them as property managers should be reason enough to look elsewhere."
