"lovely fabric shop! theyre very knowledgeable and kind, helped me a lot as someone making their first quilt."
"This spot reminds me a bit of G Street fabrics— there is a notions section, fashion apparel section, a quilting section, and an upholstery section. The notions section didn’t have what I was looking for (cotton eyelet trim), but I can’t fault them for that. There is a large button bin upon entry of the store with a sea of assorted buttons, with 10 buttons for a dollar. If you’re willing to swim around for awhile, you can get some gems here. There were many bolts of silk chiffon and organza, with some satin. These ran around $19-$21/yard. Ultimately, I ended up purchasing a few yards of an embroidered silk organza and a mauvy-pink silk satin. The biggest strength of this store, though: They have Liberty fabrics, lads! I absolutely adore Liberty fabrics. Their Tana Lawn cotton is divine, both in feel and in drape. Beware that the cotton in this store was starched in transit, so it isn’t as soft on the bolt as it will be once you’ve washed it. Iirc, these were around $21/yard, which is slightly cheaper than you would get purchasing Liberty online, even during a sale. The real steal, though, is the Liberty silks, which were also priced around $21/yard. If you’re buying from Liberty *during a sale*, these would run around $50/yard. It’s even cheaper than I saw them at the stores on the Goldhawk road, which had them priced around £45/meter. If you want relatively affordable luxury fabric, stop by this store."
"FPB is always my first stop when looking for fabric! So many choices, and the staff is consistently knowledgeable and friendly. I have never left empty handed. It has also become the go-to place for every designer I have taken there. Five stars!"
"Terrible customer service. I was in the store for 15 minutes and no one acknowledge with a simple hello. I even walked back and forth by two employees (one of them was laying her head down on the cutting table) they were more concern with what goes with ground beef than their customers. I walk passed 5 employees and nothing. I strongly urge the owner to invest in customer service all workers to make sure everyone is greeted. I would rather by drive someplace else and spend more money where I feel welcomed and better customer service. Get it together and DO better."
"While there was quite a selection, apparently I am invisible. While all of the old and middle aged women were helped promptly, I was very much ignored. I must not be the clientele they want.... A word of advice for them, just because someone is covered in tattoos does not mean they are broke. I planned on getting all of the fabric to redo my dinette, couch , curtains and bedding, but alas no one wanted to help me.. I'll be spendmy money elsewhere thanks."
