The Apartments at Goose Creek 80 Goose Point Lane, Fishersville, VA 22939

"The actual apartments at goose creek are all very nice, spacious, and comfortable. The amenities in the clubhouse such as the gym and computer room are also extremely convenient and nice. I was a Mary Baldwin student so the proximity to the campus is also a bonus. The leasing office staff as well as the property manager is what is wrong with this apartment complex. There has been a lot of staff turnover recently, but in the past I have been met with aggression and hostility multiple times while trying to get issues resolved. I recently moved out and was charged near $2000 with absolutely no explanation. Just was sent a massive bill. After having to reach out via phone and email, I was finally told it was for carpet replacement. The carpet was not visibly stained and I deep cleaned and scrubbed the apartment before moving out. I received images of one patch on the underneath of the carpet in one room, so they replaced the carpet in the whole apartment. We have tried finding out more information about this stain and this process and have not been given any further information. Extremely frustrating situation that has left us with a bad taste in our mouth."

"If you’re going to rent from this corporation, read the contract very carefully! The pet agreement: wants you to put down $600.00 for your pets. Like some places I have rented that deposit is for any pet/pets that do any damage. Not with these apartments. It’s only a fee for having pets! So if your pet/pets pee on the carpet and you don’t catch that…you have to pay to replace ALL carpet in the apartment! Not only do you loose your deposit , the pet fee doesn’t go towards the pee stain. I will not recommend dealing with these people."

"We went to the rental office four months in advance of needing to break our lease. At first we were told it wouldn’t be an issue With having our lease taken over. Even though they had a wait list of tenants wanting to move in, they charged us almost $3,000 for an early lease buy out. Most of our “deposit” when we moved in, was nonrefundable fees. Then because we had dogs, even though there were no stains on the carpet, they pulled the carpet up, and inspected the padding with a blue light. Because they detected that it had at some point, been peed on, they kept a large portion of what deposit we would have gotten back. They informed us that we were lucky we only had one bedroom containing carpet because if they detect that any room has had pee, they automatically replace the carpet in the entire unit. So most tenants end up owing them a couple thousand on top of loosing their deposit. Such a shame for people be taken advantage of this way. I could not recommend this place any less."

"We have been here for about 1.5 years. Moving from NY this complex is a breath of fresh air with amazing views. During the summer you can sit by the pool and it feels like your on vacation. It’s a large complex but maintenance stays on stop of it for the most part. The office is always very responsive and gets back to you quickly. Highly recommend this complex if your looking for a new place to live"

"I love the view from my apartment. I cannot hear my neighbors at all. Convenient location next to interstate 64 and 81. Love the amenities and the leasing staff has always been helpful and nice."
