"Our Clifton swimming pool equipment (filter pump and booster pump) required replacement on 13 June 2022, and Dave Cox, Alfredo and Jose were outstanding in their prompt responsiveness, customer service, and efficiency--they were all enormously kind and gracious, too! Our pool is up and running, and sparkling clear thanks to them! I would highly recommend Lewis Aquatech--they are true professionals--demonstrating spectacular, and rare qualities these days!"
"Great design but horrible service. Lewis Aquatech - designed and build our pool about 4 years ago. They did a nice job with the design and build of our pool and backyard but their service has been horrible. They warranty their work for 2 years and it has been 3 years and they have still not taken care of issues covered under the warranty. I used to get responses initially saying they will schedule soon and now no one bothers to even respond. If you chose to do business with them ensure either penalty clauses are in the contract or hold back final payment until the end of the warranty term if you expect them to adhere to their warranty commitment."
"We contracted with Lewis Aquatech in 1998 to design and build a magnificent negative edge pool on a stunning site in McLean overlooking the Potomac River. Their design was beautiful, their price was competitive and their references were strong so we selected them to build and maintain our pool. We are still very happily working with them and we have never regretted that decision in any way, shape or form. Lewis Aquatech is a family owned business. Brothers Don and Joe Gwiz cheerfully perform on their promises with no excuses, renegotiation or disappointment. These guys are smart professionals with real integrity. They also have longevity in their employees, which is a huge plus and also speaks to the company's good culture. I think the fellow who tiled the pool over twenty years ago is still with them, as is Valente, the service manager who dutifully comes to open and close the pool and address minor maintenance issues, of which there have been precious few. I recommend Lewis Aquatech in the strongest possible terms as a pool designer and building and maintenance contractor. Life is short but it will be more pleasant if you pick a good contractor like Lewis Aquatech. Thank you Lewis Aquatech! Mark B, McLean VA"
"Lewis Aquatech designed and built our pool. I have recommended them wholeheartedly to friends who are looking for a pool builder. They provide the best quality product and design, and have worked on the surrounding landscape to fit flawlessly. What I will add is that their maintenance is also what separates them from their competitors. The regular maintenance crew is always on time, the same people are always there, they are knowledgeable and they leave the place absolutely spotless. The few times we have had an issue (with torrential rains, etc.) a quick email to Dave, the service manager, results in an immediate dispatch of his crews. They are usually there within 24 hours and sometimes the same day. We trust them and appreciate both parts of their business, construction and maintenance."
"Please forgive the lengthy review, but I've detailed my POSITIVE experience with Lewis Aquatech (LA) below: Project: We contracted with LA to build a pool and spa, as well as hardscape our backyard. Our pool is 14x30, and our spa has 8-person capacity and "Waterfalls" in to our pool. The stone we chose was travertine, and we partnered with LA on some lighting design. From the get go, their architect (Besim) had a clear vision of what our yard could look like. More importantly, he listened when we said we liked/disliked something, and made those adjustments to the design. Ultimately, it was a partnership in getting to a final product. Timing: We first engaged with LA in late 2019, and after we signed the contract, we broke ground in March and the job was completed in Mid-June. Given the COVID world we are living in, we were thrilled with the timeline. Worth noting, we do not have a sprawling yard. We live in Ashburn, and have what I would consider a typical yard (size wise). The Pool Building Process: Ask questions. Lots of them. Building a pool is hard, especially if you have never done that before. The consultations allowed us to come up with a collaborative design. Choosing the stone, color of your pool water (thats a thing), etc...all was done in a very fluid manner. Our PM Judd was fantastic throughout the process. Always took my calls, always responded to text messages, and always got us the answers we needed. We understand the timeline, and worked towards the finish line. COVID did present some challenges, but even through all of it, the team was professional and managed our expectations. Bumps in the Road: Sure...there were a few. But what contractor driven process doesn't have bumps. But I can emphatically say that there were never any "hills" or "mountains" during the build. Small bumps, always handled with professionalism by the LA team, and nothing that wasn't addressed immediately. Price: Though I won't discuss the price our project, I can tell you that we did get other quotes and LA was the best value for comparable pricing. Even during the project, we decided to make a pretty substantial add-on. Joe and team partnered with us to leverage some economies of scale and ultimately we came to a number that worked for both parties. End Result: Pictures attached. Our pool, spa, and hardscape is amazing. What LA was able to do in what I consider a limited space is incredible. The attention to detail (our drains and skimmer baskets were hand carved in the travertine), the strong level of communication, and the willingness to go above and beyond when needed made this a great partnership. I would highly recommend Lewis Aquatech to anyone that is considering a pool project."
