"The experience started off okay. The staff seem knowledgeable at first. I think the doctor should do the treatments, my daughter went 3/2 and the tech operating the machinery seemed like she didn't know what she was doing whatsoever. This could be overlooked except it's only electrical pulses to your brain. She seemed careless and payed no attention to my daughters needs. She tried to reschedule beforehand and was told to come in anyway as she would just be "talking to the doctor" prior to she had no knowledge of what the MT or whatever the appointment was called stood for and agreed to come in and SPEAK with the doctor. After she expressed extreme discomfort in the treatment, the tech was hell bent on continuing after the doctor assured us that if it became too much she could stop with the raising of her hand. It wasn't until the grossly inconsiderate tech decided enough was enough that she stopped. My daughter left and had an anxiety attack shortly afterwards in the car. This was horrible to watch as a parent. I have the right mind to call and report that woman but I know it won't help as parents of people with mental disorders as well as the people with the disorders themselves aren't taken seriously and their concerns are often brushed under the rug. Had I not been there I'm fearful they would've just kept going despite her pain. I feel us being black played a huge roll as well."

"Only worth a shot if you have mild depression. I've heard good anecdotal feedback on such cases. Anyone diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, PTSD, other trauma, or any and all military veterans should look elsewhere because this can become a giant waste of money very quickly with every session requiring a copay. If your copay is $42 x 35 sessions, that's about $1500 to roll the dice (each patient is worth about $9000 gross to the business). However, I'm sure many people with mild depression are misdiagnosed as MDD, because anything "major" gets more attention and any depression is pretty major in the mind of the individual. Thus solving the problem for the false-positive MDD individuals could easily pad the stats. The technical staff is caring and adequately trained on the equipment, but powerless to adapt to any changes. The doctors are absent minus an initial consult and setup session -- in fact, rarely even present on the premises. I didn't know it until seeing other operations that their depth of knowledge is comparably quite shallow. It's pretty clear that these places are essentially vending machines for the physicians and they monitor them in the same way. The approach is not creative or adaptive to change in any way. It does not coordinate with medication or work in concert with referring physicians to solve problems. It's also basically a vending machine to the patients. Put your money in, get shocked, wait for results, that's it. The Neurostar equipment they use is said to be designed specifically for MDD, but it's terrible compared to the Brainsway equipment used elsewhere. It's focus is too narrow and difficult to tune whereas the Brainsway equipment has much more flexibility and isn't at the utter mercy of the initial setup or patient physiology to have an impact. Do you want to go digging around in the brain's vague regions of depression with a laser beam or a nuke? I'd opt to the nuke the site from orbit...it's the only way to be sure. The level of care elsewhere is *astronomically* higher to good effect if results are important to you. The Greenbrook centers have carved out a niche in this area simply because there are no competitors. TMS might not be the cash influx that surgical medicine is, but they're expanding since the return is high for minimal effort. I have written an equally reasonable and similar review in the past for this business, yet it mysteriously disappeared if that tells you anything. I will not be deterred because mental health is actually important to me. So here 'goes again..."
