"Obgyn the front desk is horrible. I don’t get a sense that they care about these women that’s coming in there pregnant already going through health problems…. I have been trying to get paperwork filled out for over two weeks now. The whole time the fax is down but instead of them telling me that for the whole first week, they kept giving me different fax numbers long story short they finally got my fax at the end of the second week when the fax machine came back up and I feel as if there’s no urgency to push my paperwork being I already been waiting for two weeks. My job is in jeopardy. I have not been getting paid and I just don’t feel no since of urgency from no one there at that front desk. I am already high risk pregnant. Should not be stressing like this. This is ridiculous. I will be withdrawing from this place yes even at 33 weeks high-risk pregnancy."
"My son has been seen here since he was born and we're thinking of transferring to another pediatrician. We have not had issues with his pediatrician Dr Jowdy but we have had issues with the residents. They give conflicting information since they all practice medicine differently. We've only seen Dr. Jowdy twice or so and we don't mind seeing the residents as everyone has to start somewhere, but my son's 9 month appointment was terrible and I left crying! The woman at the front desk is always wonderful, no complaints there. Some of the nursing staff can at times be unprofessional but some of them are great. We saw a resident this time and he basically scolded us for not putting my son to bed correctly (because we rock him to sleep), not feeding him correctly (because he chokes on solids with only two teeth and so he is on formula and puree) and told us his fine motor and gross motor is delayed (because we use an infant walker and jumper with "great frequency" and he isn't crawling or waking yet....... every baby is different and really? He's in them maybe once or twice a day for 20 minutes! Seriously? It's not like he stays in there for hours, but okay) I'm a nurse and he made me feel like an incompetent parent. In an age of information where there are NUMEROUS ways to raise your children, not every child and family fits into the cookie cutter. He clearly didn't listen to us which is evident by reading his note which is full of erroneous information and he was rough with my child!! My son was tired and when he was examining him he started to cry. The resident was close to him and my son pulled down his mask. He visibly got irritated, snatched back the mask and grabbed my son's head and forced it to the side and stuck the otoscope in his ear to which my son only got more upset. I understand having a bad day, but you deal with BABIES! My son didn't do it on purpose, he wasn't being malicious, so why are you being rough with him? Totally uncalled for. Second, if you have concerns as a resident shouldn't his actual pediatrician come in and examine him as well? Nope. Never saw her. As first time parents I'm appalled at the behavior of this office. I've called and asked to speak with the office manager who has yet to call me back."

"Riverside Brentwood is a model for all doctor offices. I've been going to this facility since I've moved to Virginia. It had been a very good experience. The entrance to the exit had been great. The facility has a clean & safe environment. The associate at the reception area is always polite. There have not been over a 30-minute wait in the lobby. Your appointment is always on point. The nurse that calls you to the back greets you with a smile. The doctors don't rush you out. They take the time to her you & address your medical needs. They also make positive suggests & don't make you seem wrong/ bad if you refuse what's offer (Shots & etc). They also mildly let you know the consequences if you refuse it. :-) After you've told the doctor your concerns, they address them immediately. If they aren't sure & need to get another opinion, they tell you they are going to check the lead doctor to make sure. I appreciate that because no one knows everything every time. "Assurance is better than Assuming." I'm just saying :-)... They also offer an awesome health-care tool (My Chart). It's Amazing. You can view & make your appointment, see your medications, visitor, test results & etc. Thank You For Being The Ultimate Rare : Positve Health Care Needs Facility!!!"
"If there was an option to rate this practice in the negative then it would get -10 stars. I won’t say all, but most of the staff treat you as if you and your child are unimportant. Almost every phone call and have been unpleasant for one reason or for many. Examples, you have to pull teeth to get a return phone call. The wait time for an appointment is around 3 months. I had missed our first visit and the receptionist said she had to get approval from the doctor to reschedule our new patient appointment. ( One of the staff put a note in my daughters chart saying we missed the first appt and had to get approval to be seen). The doctor did approve it and my daughter became a new patient. They made us wait 3 1/2 months to get us in for the new patient appointment. Even knowing she was due for several shots and had to get a referral to see a heart specialist to have an untrasound on her heart for a condition she was born with. They just acted as if they didn’t care. They said yes we are aware of what she needs and maybe I should’ve made our first appointment. I could NOT BELIEVE the receptionist had the nerve to say that to me. ( our reason missing the appointment was my mother passed the night before). Dr. Jordan isn’t a “bad” doctor, but I wouldn’t recommend her as s pediatrician because of her personality.I wouldn’t refer to her as the “kid” type. She also rushed through the appt and when I voice my concerns she doesn’t address them and I end up leaving more frustrated and without answers. Don’t bother voicing those frustrations either, because then they will take longer to return your calls. Everyone I know that’s been with this practice has left or is receiving the same treatment."
