VCU Health Primary Care at King William Square

"My mom was a patient with Molly Massey who took great care of her. Unfortunately, she had to switch doctors after Molly Massey moved further away. She was placed with Angel Daniels whose sole purpose, at that time, was to provide the PCP clearance for surgery. My mom shared this with the nurse and nurse practitioner (Angel). My mom went to several appointments to supposedly work on getting this clearance. When my mom inquired about the completion of the form she was told it was too early and was assured it would be sent to the appropriate office before surgery. At the last visit Angel wished my mom good luck on her surgery. A week before the surgery we sat at preadmission testing and learned that Angel had NOT completed this required form. Upon calling the office they "found" the form that my mom had given them on the very first visit; the form that Angel claims to have never seen. Their negligance caused unnecessary stress and frustration for my mother who was already in severe pain. After going back and forth AND having the preadmission testing nurse speak with Angel we finally got her to agree to complete the form without another office visit (because my mom had been to several clearly pointless office visits over the last 2 months). Unfortunately, my mom's surgery still had to be postponed. Due to this lack of care, incompetence and negligance, my mom will no longer be a patient with VCU Health."

"They charge 138 to get onto see someone even though you have an insurance card with a copay. Then they tell you that you have to wait 30 or 60 days to find out what your insurance will pay. It's a scam!"

"Many issues, firstly the doctors here are great, have never had better, but the staff is really bad, they cant seem to get billing right, and you go back and forth with them for quite a long time to get it fixed, and they just end up eating the bill, instead of submitting it to my insurance to get paid (which they should have done to begin with), they are not personable, or enjoyable to even interact with, they are short and abrupt, and have very little regard for your time, if the doctors were not so great I would have moved on, and may still do so if it does not get easier to interact with them"

"I was a patient with Molly Massey and I did follow her to Aylett Family Wellness. But when I needed to be seen by her, and she was booked up.... I called this place back... Would not see because "They don't do back and forth" That should be my decision! Not yours, especially when I have health insurance and you are in my network!"
