"My son took lessons at the Music Tree for over a year and a half and was quite happy with the instruction. He went to his lesson on December 28 and was told his previous instructor was no longer there and had been replaced with a new instructor. He was not notified prior to his lesson. He decided he did not wish to continue taking lessons, but because he did not give notice by December 25, Christmas Day, he is being charged for the entire month of January and a $75 cancellation fee for stopping “mid-semester”, even though the semester doesn’t begin until January 2. Management verbally took responsibility for not letting my son know his instructor had been replaced, but was also unwilling to waive close to $300 in penalties because we did not notify them of his decision prior to December 25."
