Richmond Surgical - Retreat Doctors' Hospital 110 North Robinson Street, Richmond, VA 23220

"My father had a surgical procedure today by Dr. Barnes at the surgical center at Retreat Hospital. This was our first time at their surgical center. The experience was perfect from the moment we walked in the door to us leaving the center. The surgery was pretty much on schedule. Dr.Barnes was amazing as usual. The sweet lady who worked in the waiting room took us to a private waiting room because there were two of us waiting (my mom was the other). She came to check on us about 4 times. One of the times she wanted to make sure we didn't need anything before she ran to the cafeteria. I wished I had gotten her name. His nurse (Carolyn) before the procedure was SUPERB. She kept us well informed throughout the day and continued to check on us and even came to get me so I could go back and speak with Dr. Barnes and my dad before he was taken to the OR. One of the nurses in the OR called us mid-way through the procedure to let us know that everything was going well and that my dad was fine. My father shared that all of the nurses were wonderful throughout the day. We are very grateful to everyone who helped to make this experience a good one."
