Bon Secours Behavioral Health Group at Memorial Regional

"Was referred here to be evaluated for something. Didn't even get seen due to negligence on their end claiming my father was listed as my legal guardian on my medical chart. He's never been listed as my legal guardian EVER on my chart and never have I been told previously by any other Bon Secours facility that he was listed as my legal guardian. Due to this reason, I had to wait over an hour for my virtual appointment to start for them to fix the issue and when the time came to start the appointment the "Dr." Spoke with me for less than 30 seconds before having to take another call from the front office, leaving me on hold for over 30 minutes before the virtual appointment logged me out due to inactivity. They called me 30 minutes later asking to reschedule due to miscommunication on MY END as if I was the cause of needing to reschedule."

"My first experience at a mental health clinic. The front desk clerk was not kind and had terrible customer service. In speaking with the nurse practitioner, Germaine, Kelly -Pope. I did feel that she was knowledgeable and was able to help me. But I did not know I needed a follow up visit to have my prescription refilled, so I canceled the one I had since it was a conflict in my work schedule . Contacted the office on a Friday through my chart and left messages with no return phone call to refill my prescription . Received a return phone call Monday morning from the front desk clerk who said I should’ve known because it was in the paperwork, I told her I must’ve missed it. But if I can schedule an appointment for a refill, that would be fine. I did take the moment to express my concern respectfully, without raising my voice are you using any inappropriate words, about the professionalism and lack of kindness. In which the clerk responded because I said that she’s not going to make me an appointment and she’ll have someone call me later. We should be able to express our concerns on how we are treated. I work for Bon Secours home health, and would never deny a patient an appointment based on their expressing their concerns. For a mental health clinic , I was truly disappointed. Contacted my PCP to send me to another practitioner."

"I never had any problems every one is great to me. They even show concerns about my health. Yes you might have to wait but you have to realize we have a pandemic state."

"To be a professional facility of B.S. Hospital, you would think that you could get emergency or urgen care from them. That is not the case, they have no availability for new patients until 8 months from now! Talking with the receptionist on the phone she explains she has only one psychiatrist at this time and that the others had either moved or retired. WTH, if you know someone is going to be retiring or moving soon, shouldn’t you have the job posted immediately for applications? She also gave the excuse there is a limited number of psychiatrists in the Richmond area. Again, not my fault for you not posting the position sooner."
