Reviews of Patient First Primary and Urgent Care - Carytown
"I have taken my children to Patient First MANY times, and we usually have good experiences. But after today I am very much rethinking ever going back. My daughter is very sick and was seen by Ashley Greer. As soon as this arrogant, rude woman started speaking to me with unprofessional contempt dripping off every word, I remembered I had seen her before another time when I brought my son in. Her attitude is unforgettable! After we left, I Googled her and discovered that she has quite the reputation in online reviews for her horrific bedside manner. I certainly see why. To be treated this way when you or your child are not feeling well is just so beyond unacceptable that I have been inspired to find a new family doctor instead of relying on Patient First, where I may someday again be unlucky enough to have to encounter this terrible excuse for a medical professional. I will never understand why people who clearly hate people go into helping professions."
"I had eye pain on New Year’s Day. Went to get some relief at my nearest patient first. I drove to the one in Cary town. The process was very seamless and quick. Even being New Year’s Day, everyone was super nice and apologizing for my wait even though I wasn’t there very long. Left with a diagnosis and prescription in hand. Well done to the kind staff."
"The wait to get registered and brought back to a room was not too bad. The lady who registered me was very nice and helpful. The nurse who checked my vitals swabbed me initially for Covid and the flu and then said the doctor would be in soon to do other tests, but once I was in the room I waited for a long time to be seen. At least 5 individuals who had came in after me were seen and were leaving while I was still waiting in the room to be seen. After a long time of waiting I was finally seen and whoever saw me did not introduce herself or anything. She examined me for maybe 30 seconds barely even looking at my throat, nose, and ears and moved the stethoscope before I even took a breath in. Then she said it was just a cold and to take OTC medicine. When I asked if she was doing any other tests she asked me what I wanted to have done. I’m not a doctor, she should have been the one recommending tests, not me. I feel this was a super unprofessional visit and the doctor did not even address my concerns. I believe I have an upper respiratory infection and will now have to waste my time and money yet again to go somewhere else because she was too worried about getting off of work."
"Absolutely love this location. Never had a bad experience there. I've been probably half a dozen times in the last 2 years and every time I've been everyone from the front desk to the nurses to the doctors has been extremely helpful and kind. I know people can be really impatient about wait times but they really are doing the best they can. I was in and out within an hour and a half today and I've never had to be there more than 3 hours before which in my opinion is a totally fair amount of time. The lobby is almost always packed so 3 hours honestly isn't bad at all. Today in particular I want to thank Sherita at the front desk, the phlebotomist whose first name I can't remember but her last name was White, the nurse Emily, and Dr. Lewis (and the nurse who called for my referral!). Everyone took really great care of me and they were able to get me a next day referral for a specialist. I haven't found a primary care doctor yet but I also don't feel worried about that knowing I have this Patient First to lean on when I need it. THANK YOU to everyone there."
"I had to leave after 4 hours without getting any services or any estimates on how much longer I should wait. Four hours wait time is not normal by any standards. At least There should be a better system to inform patients at check in on how long approximately (could be a range) they should expect to wait. There are other facilities that patients can use if you communicate that simple information to them but if they leave after check in because you are too slow, you will still charge them for their unpleasant and unsuccessful visit. That’s not a normal practice."
