"Had an appointment at 3:30 and was seen at 4:10. Needed a steroid medication to manage pain and swelling. I originally requested they use a pharmacy but it ended up being closed without notice due to the new holiday. I called back to Bon Secours at 5:00 sharp and spoke with a woman on the phone who said she understood that the pharmacy was closed down and would have the prescription sent to CVS. I went to CVS at 5:30 and was informed that the prescription had not arrived yet and that I should come back before they close at 9:00. I went back to CVS at 7:45 and was told there was nothing in the system yet. I called back to Bon Secours at 7:50 and was greeted by a rude woman on the phone who told me that the medication must not have been sent and that I "should not have gone to the pharmacy until they called me". She said they have a doctor on call there but they are not allowed to send in prescriptions. I explained that it had already been written and I requested some discretion in this situation due to the amount of pain and discomfort I was experiencing. I was treated as if I were a druggy and told to call back tomorrow morning when they re-open. I asked if there was any way that they could exercise some judgement due to the fact that I had already called in about this once before and that I had now made two trips to CVS unnecessarily. She hung up on me. Terrible service. I would never recommend their services to anybody."
"yes they attend well"
"I was recently awarded custody of my 2 year old niece and 1 year old nephew. Dealing with toddlers alone can be stressful, but having to spend all day trying to get medical help can really be taxing! The staff was nothing short of amazing. We arrived early, around 7:30am for the 9:30am pediatrician Care-A-Van. We ended up being the last patients to be seen, due to not getting there early enough. After waiting six hours to see the pediatrician for their daycare physicals, we were notified by the "lead nurse" they would not be able to complete the children's immunizations due to the morning exams running over. I immediately became overwhelmed, since I had been there for hours with 2 small children, and the lead nurse abruptly turning me away after I only got half of my services I waited all day for. The registrar Marta Navarro, immediately intervened and offered to find a solution for me. She was so professional and showed empathy towards my situation and gracefully was able to schedule me with the immunization nurse for an actual appointment two days later. I commend all of the ladies who helped me with taking the children's vitals, the pediatrician taking her time with the children, and doing a thorough examination, but I am really grateful for Ms. Navarro. I believe the lady being a "lead nurse," instead of just turning me away, should have offered me other options for help, but when she did not Ms. Navarro stepped in and really eased my anxiety. I highly recommend the Bon Secours Care A Van if you can not afford being seen elsewhere. Please bring your patience and know you will be there for quite a while, but the quality of care you or your loved one will receive will be worth everything."
