"I had my 1’st sleep study a few nights ago. I was referred to them by my advanced heart failure specialist. I was comfortable and cared for very well from the time I got there until the time I left. My technician was Walt, and he was wonderful. The bed was super comfortable, as was the room that comes with a private bathroom. I didn’t think I’d be able to sleep during the study, but I actually slept better there than I have been at home lately lol. They got back to me today, just a few days later and told me that I have some pretty severe results…they had an unexpected opening tonight so I’m going back to do another study, but this time I will be trying out a CPAP. I requested the same technician, and unlike before when I did not know what to expect, I’m not dreading this at all. These people who actually do the sleep studies are wonderful. At least Walt is. Dr. K. Was very knowledgeable and took his time with me during my first appointment. He showed me the room I would be staying in. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences here, although I realize they haven’t been many. I couldn’t recommend this place enough."
"Currently just left their office and I can tell why their rattings are plummeting through the floor. Staff was polite, but the common theme with the doctor being constantly late seems to be a repeating issue. Although the staffs politeness exceeded themselves, the doctor on the other hand was disgustingly disappointing. Dr Barry Katchinoff was extremely rude and unwelcoming in assisting me in my insomnia issues, besides his rant about an English professor listening to classical audio books, his best and only suggestion was to "get a better bed time routine that makes you more tired". An extreme waste of time and money, I highly recommend to avoid this practice and this doctor."
"Make sure you get all the costs up front and what insurance will or won't pay. Also make sure you get your prescription for a c-pap machine in one sleep study otherwise you will have to come back for another at an additional $10K. Yes they cost $10K each. Mechanicsville location was hard to sleep at with plastic covered mattresses which made it very uncomfortable. Hull Street rooms were much better."
"So it is currently 10 days into May. My initial meeting was Feb 20, i was scheduled for a sleep study. Techs were good, sleeping condition not as much (traffic/noise/light, etc). I was called within 2 weeks to tell me I needed a titration study, and it took 2 months to get that scheduled. I went for that test, same sleep study, but with CPAP. The bed was uncomfortable as was the first device. Once that was figured out, I completed the test. Was told they would review the study, and get with insurance to send the machine. I am going on 18 working days, haven't heard from them. When I called, they said the computers were updating and I would get a call by the end of the week. This process has been going on 4 months to get a CPAP.....VERY DISAPPOINTED in the quality of service of the doctor at this location. Will be contacting insurance as well, as they should paying for this type of service."
"Whoever is answering the phones needs to learn to return calls and take care of the patients needs. Had nothing but good experiences with the doctors and nursing staff. Have a happy patient for years. Now that the doctors staff has gotten the matter in hand, the problem was taken care quickly and phone calls were place with concern for the patient and the problem. Thank you"
