Helen Fall Studio

"When I was 16-years old, I came across Mrs. Fall's Music Studio while I was searching viola teachers in NoVa who would prepare me as a college music major. My playing needed a lot of technique-work and I was working on repertoire that was more advanced than my level. After making the big decision to take me on as a student Mrs. Fall came up with an extremely calculated long-range plan on how to prepare me for college auditions with stepping-stone performances leading up to all the auditions. Mrs. Fall has been one of my biggest advocates in my musical career. I just graduated with my Master of Music in viola performance from DePaul University this past June 2021 and would not be where I am without her tutelage. She is the best!!!"

I definitely remember the warmth and constant support I felt each and every week! She always went above and beyond to make sure every one of her students felt special. "I spent every Monday at Helen Fall's studio for years and I turned out great! Going through middle school and high school can be the most anxious and stressful time of a person's life, so having a weekly viola lesson in the welcoming oasis of this studio was a perfect way for teenage-me to relax and grow as a musician and a person. I played the gamut from Bach to Led Zeppelin and Helen is also the person who introduced me to my favorite band, Radiohead. Kind of weird when I think about it now. But definitely worth it!!"
