"Excellent service, professional and great care is taken - I had micro blading and wasn’t sure what to expect however I am very happy with the results and the time and care taken through the process. Also I have now had two facials and truly the best I have had in the DC area. The Beauty Lounge is a gem and I am so lucky to have found this in DC as before I would travel to Virginia or NYC."
"Got an appointment for a Facial. I waited for her an hour and half. She didn’t showed up. I sent her a text and called her. Nothing. I left her a very polite note telling her that I had to leave for work, but I must wanted another appointment that coming Thursday. She texted me my 30 hours later confirming the appointment, but none “sorry about yesterday” from her. I canceled the appointment. At least, She should have said sorry. Her colleague, the lady who does Wax is very nice tho."
"Groupon deal was seemingly great! Recap: Got there to a locked door 10 mins before my appointment. The technician: stopped treatment to text, then left the room during my appointment. During the 45 min appointment, she did not explain what was happening, I think there was a laser involved (?) but my eyes were covered, so maybe she poked a bunch of hot needles on my face. Hard to tell. The treatment: mediocre. I essentially paid for my face to be wiped clean with 6 different smelling CVS products and momentarily put under a heat lamp. Ambiance: Dirty machinery and hot as hell inside. No evident A/C. In Georgetown. In August. While my face is smooth, I have plenty of evidence that the "deep clean" job was maybe a quarter done. I could have done more with biore strips and a steam shower... which I will do at home. My face looks disappointed, but at least it smells like expensive lotion."
"If you want high-level skin care from an expert aesthetician, go see Natalya at The Beauty Lounge. I have been a monthly member here for three years and I am so grateful I stuck with it, because the results are phenomenal. I used to get really bad cystic acne on my jawline and around my mouth. I did not want to take antibiotics to treat it and decided to listen to Natalya's advice and do salicylic acid peels to treat the issue. Yes, the extractions are painful (especially when I had cystic acne) and the peels can burn, but the results are worth it. My acne-prone skin had begun to lower my self-confidence. I was always wearing makeup to help cover up my poor skin and I sometimes wondered whether other people noticed how bad it was. Thankfully, Natalya helped me get clear skin for the first time since before puberty. This place is not for the faint of heart or for those who just want their faces massaged for an hour. Go here if you need serious help with any skincare problem. I have a lot of friends that also go to her (some by coincidence, others by my recommendation) and they have all had great experiences, even though each of us have quite different complexions. She uses the most effective techniques to clean my skin, including steam, acid peels, microdermabrasion, galvanic current, pore vacuum, and much more. She always does whatever I need for that month and she individualizes the regimen to each person's unique conditions. My skin is sensitive and will be red for a few hours after the treatment. If I have a peel, it will begin to flake off the next day and keep going for 2-3 days. Keep this in mind! You don't want to get extractions or a peel right before an important event. My recommendation if you know you'll need a peel: schedule a couple days before a relaxed weekend and use lots of vaseline on your skin to keep it supple while it heals. After a few days, your face will be glowing! Natalya is a sweetheart and a very professional business owner. I appreciate that she does not beat around the bush and will tell it to you like it is. She is also extremely knowledgable and will answer all of your skincare questions. I am happy to support this small, woman-owned business and I don't mind the idiosyncrasies. Sometimes the front desk will be vacant when you arrive. Just sit down, chill out, be patient, and wait for a facial that will change your life. Once you lay down and get the steam going, you will become very relaxed and have a great experience, even while she's cleaning your skin of impurities. I also really recommend trying the Environ line that she offers. I have been using it alongside my monthly treatments and it's crazy what a medical grade product will do for you. Environ works wonders."
"I am a member here and they do a great job taking care of you to make sure you are satisfied. Natalia is great! The only issue is that it's difficult to find parking as it is in Georgetown. Make sure you arrive early and be prepared to circle a few blocks to find a spot to park. It's worth it!"
