"Be sure not to receive 3 text messages if you haven't paid your bill in 7 days, even though you just got an email saying it was ready to view 2 hours ago. They are vultures and I dislike them and they have ruined the Doctors office I have been going to for years."
"As other have said HORRIBLE. They say they’re going to look into billing errros made by my doctor but don’t look into it. I called like 10 times. Everyone says something different. I ask to talk to a manager and no one is available. Customer service is terrible. Honestly just feels like they’re after money. I ended up just paying my bill even though I think I may have been overcharged, it was too stressful to deal with bc my bill was in collections. But this is really unacceptable."
"Regarding Privia....I have used numerous web portals but this is the worst by far. Got an e-mail from my doctor telling me I had info in my Privia web portal. I pulled out my book of passwords and correctly entered it. Privia would not accept that even after several tries. So, six times I sent separate requests to verify my username. It aske me for my name, e-mail, phone number, date of birth. Then it sent me six separate pass numbers. Each time, it said the numbers I entered were incorrect. But, six times I got e-mails saying my username had been reset but no other info on how to access my account. I tried entering a new user names but no luck. So, then I did the same process and instead told it to use a different way to reset. It told me it had to have my phone number to do that. And yet, even though I had provided my phone number each time, it would not give a way to do that. So, I have no way of getting access to my account even though I have in the past been used My Privia account to sent messages. Tomorrow I am going to my doctor's office and tell them to delete my Privia account and to find a different way to communicate with me!. At first I was so angry, I thought I would change doctors in protest but I have been with this PCP a long time. Also, Privia sends me too many notices of appts, pharmacy info requests, follow up, etc. The requests to verify I will be at appts do not stop there, they want me to sign in and go through my complete history."
"This group is the billing agent for my local doctor. They have extremely unethical billing practices. I paid a bill as soon as I received it and they credited it to the wrong account. When I called they said a refund would be issued and I told them I would pay it again once I received the refund. Three phone calls later, the refund still hasn't been issued and they sent the original bill to collections. Go to Meritus instead."
"DO NOT USE DR. RUSSELL AT CHESAPEAKE WOMEN’S CARE IN ANNAPOLIS. Privia oversees care at this office. We were recommended to Chesapeake by a family member and unfortunately had a terrible experience with them. We started with them around 11 weeks of pregnancy after my GYN confirmed pregnancy, but we had to switch practices because my GYN is no longer doing OB. At our first appointment the NP struggled to find our baby’s heart beat, but then said she heard it and we left thinking everything was okay. We would later find out this was extremely unlikely because our baby stopped developing at 9 weeks. A few days after this appointment, I started to have concerns and we were brought in for an appointment with Dr. Russell. From the get-go she was dismissive and rude. I had numerous complications over the next few weeks and was dismissed by Dr. Russell several times. One night I had to call the on call number because I had concerns of bleeding and chest tightness and was told by Dr. Russell that I was fine and she would see me at my appointment 4 days later, where we found out I was having some concerning complications. Dr. Russell rushed our appointments and at times did not seem very thorough at all. She used very hurtful statements to refer to our baby such as “that junk” and “all that stuff”. This was also our second miscarriage and Dr. Russell refused to test me for a genetic condition that I found out I could possibly have and could potentially be affecting my pregnancies. After compiling a list of complaints to send to the office manager, Leslie Atkinson, I didn’t receive a response until I followed up a week later to make sure she received my email at which time I was just told Dr. Russell would be sending me something in the mail. When we received the letter in the mail from Dr. Russell it was a dismissal letter, even though I had already stated in my email we would not be returning to the practice due to the care we received. There seems to be no accountability for Dr. Russell and it is sad to see that when a patient has significant concerns this is the only response they get."
