MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Ballston

"DO NOT go to this urgent care! The care I was provided here was awful and came with HUGE bill. I waited almost 3 hours to be seen by the doctor who barely did a physical exam then told me I "only had allergies" and shouldn't have wasted my time coming in - even though I had been sick for over 3 weeks. She complained about being rushed and too busy, I felt like I was an inconvenience. Two days later I visited a different doctor and was diagnosed with a bacterial sinus infection (not just "allergies" as the busy doctor here said). Then I got a $450 bill in the mail! They billed me for a 45 minute + appointment, despite being with the doctor for less than 5 minutes and being misdiagnosed. AWFUL experience all around."

"Very polite and helpful team. The facility didn’t seem to be equipped with much diagnostic equipment, just very basic but luckily we didn’t have to wait a lot and the fact that everyone was so pleasant was a welcome surprise."

This is my second time at this facility, and the 1st time I encountered the same levels of professionalism and caring (3 different employees). I would highly recommend this MedStar Urgent Care location."

"If I could give it 6 out of 5 stars I would! I've lived in four cities across the country and have gone to an urgent care in each one, and this by far supersedes any care I have ever received. In the DMV area alone, I have been to other urgent cares and this is by far the best one ever!! Urgent cares rarely make you feel like your issues are important. However, every single individual at this location provided me with what truly felt like urgent and attentive care for a simple elbow injury. The doctor on Sunday night even followed up with me on Monday! Highly recommend."

"I had an outstanding appointment at MedStar today. All staff members were attentive and caring. I never felt rushed through the appointment like other urgent care facilities I've been to in the past. My provider was empathetic and thoughtful during her assessment of my medical history and physical exam. I also felt assured with the treatment plan going forward, and she was considerate to answer all questions and concerns at the end of the meeting. Wait times were decent when I visited. Overall, I'm really glad that I can depend on this site next time I'm feeling under the weather."
