"I learned quickly that not all National Spine and Pain Centers are equal. I live in National Harbor and went to a location closer to me, only to leave and go to the Fairfax location. My Fairfax team are Stephanie Liu, PA and Beverly Whittenberg, MD. They engaged in active listening to determine the best possible plan to manage my chronic pain. The plan that was developed uses modalities. There is an ease to everything at this practice. The scheduling is seamless. The front and back-end staff are very courteous. They are easy to reach via the patient portal. The wait time in the waiting area is very reasonable. The waiting room and exam rooms are very nicely appointed. When it is time to get my epidural, Dr. Whittenberg and her tech put me completely at ease. I highly recommend the Fairfax location."

"I have been coming here for years. While I appreciate dr wittenberg’s commitment to my care the medical line receptionist has to be the rudest person I have ever had to deal with at any dr office. It is also impossible to get them or get a call back."
"While Dr. Dade is very good, National Spine and Pain is awful. My records were not sent to another doctor as I requested and I had to cancel that other doctors appt. When I called National Spine and Pain in Fairfax NOBODY answers. Instead you are routed to an inefficient national call center. At this so called call center they are of no help, and they try to call the front desk, and say they are sorry because nobody is picking up. What a joke!! Then they refused to give me the direct number. What kind of kindergarten company is this??"
"The staff at National Spine and Pain Center in Fairfax is great. I have been a patient with Dr Whittenberg’s team for over ten plus years. I have seen many changes over those years, each with better and better improvements. Her whole staff is friendly and knowledgeable, there was very little wait before being taken back to a treatment room, and then being seen by the Physicians Assistant, Stefanie. Current symptoms were shared, A continued treatment plan was discussed, and prescriptions updated. Last year, I moved from the NoVa area. I continue to drive over two hours in order to continue with Dr Whittenberg and the team. Their knowledge and care is important enough to me for me to continue to make this trip. I can’t recommend them enough!"
