"My children have taken private piano lessons with Mrs. Zubal for over two years and I cannot recommend her enthusiastically enough. They have learned so much about the piano but also about managing their time independently and responsibility for their piano practice. Mrs. Zubal is patient but firm in her expectations and supports them to manage their emotions and responsibilities in developmentally appropriate ways. I appreciate that she expects and supports them with concrete strategies to manage their practice schedule during the week without parent support. I have learned from her some great strategies for supporting my children in trying new and challenging things that they have to persist at, even when it feels hard. And the results show in their playing. I also appreciate that we meet in person but have the flexibility to do our lessons on Zoom if someone isn't feeling well or if it is just logistically easier to meet virtually. She is effective at teaching beginners through Zoom and is adept at helping parents and students navigate the technology.
