Reviews
"Useless."
"I am disappointed to say that this place has gone downhill over the last few years. Staff does not seem to respond to phone calls or requests. I'm not sure where our taxpayer dollars are going? This is not a no-kill shelter. Lee county does not have a human or animal shelter/humane society with a working phone number or that is advertised on Google maps, despite claims on Facebook. There are packs of dogs and coyotes running and breeding in Lee county. Neighboring animal shelters in other states and counties that do have a working system in place refuse to take or are all full. Spay and neuter clinics are also not taking animals. BOARD MEMBERS should have a working phone number and go to these shelters and take notes on how a functioning shelter should run. Someone was told they would come out and shoot the dogs as opposed to taking them. While I agree it is a responsibility of owners to manage their pets it is not the job of owners to manage wild animals that have gotten out of hand. Let's do better! Thanks"
"Very kind people here at Lee county dog pound. I adopted a dog there yesterday. They obviously care for the animals very much. They get the dogs to rescues too. The adoption process was easy, and I would love to get another dog from here some day."
