"Well let me start off in saying I lost my leg January 23rd 2020 and almost lost my life in the process due to an infection caused by diabetes. I got a below the knee amputation and was hospitalized for a month then from there I went on to a skilled nursing home for rehabilitation and to regain the strength and muscle that I had lost in my other leg. While I was there my first week is where I met my new prosthesis Dr Paul which I don't really think of him as a dr I think of him more as a friend. Along my new journey of being an amputee Paul has helped and guided me with any and all knowledge of what to expect with learning how to walk on my own with the fitting of my prosthesis and any other issue I may have. The people at Hanger Clinic really do care about you and they will jump leaps and bounds to make you happy and make the experience as easy and painless as possible. "I have been a bilateral BKA since September 2013 in an illness related to cancer. I have been to all of the prosthetic companies around and you simply will not find a better, more engaging set of staff. Renee keeps all the office straight with schedules, phone calls, billing and more. She is always happy to answer; even if it is me telling her how late I am going to be again today. Earl goes out of his way every time I see him to make sure that my prosthetics are doing well for me and that my day is going well. Paul Meyer is the Prosthetist who manages the clinic and was the first person to believe I was going to walk when no one else would "buy in". "I was traveling across country and really needed help with my AFO brace - some padding had worn off and it was gouging into a wound that had formed. The clinics in the cities I was going through were booked for days, and so was this one. The difference was that THIS clinic took the time to see me, to fix that brace so it was no longer aggravating the wound I was trying to heal. The girl in the front was wonderful and made it happen, and Earl fixed it pronto. I was so so so so grateful!!!!"
