"Irina is a phenomenal music teacher and absolutely the BEST teacher I have ever had my entire life! Even though I am an adult student, she doesn’t treat me any differently or make me feel as if I have any less potential than others starting young. On the contrary, my experiences with her so far have been extraordinary. Her teaching methods and techniques have taught me to see, understand, and love music in a way I have never been able to before. The only way I can think of describing it is this: I feel like I’ve been a color blind person who used to be able to see only a few colors but now can see the full spectrum. I hear music in a way I couldn’t and didn’t before. I think more critically while sight reading and feel I have gained a much deeper understanding of what I see and play. "My daughter has been taking Skype lessons with Dr. Irina for almost two years. We chose Skype because of the distance and time constraints. Before her we had two live teachers who were constantly saying how great my daughter was doing. It turned out to be the opposite! Dr. Irina had to start from scratch to build my daughter's skills and patiently teach her all the basics she missed with the other teachers. I am not a musician, so I have to trust a teacher to do their job well, but even for me the comparison is overwhelming. I can tell the huge difference in my daughter's progress.
