"When I first came to Saffire several years ago, I was so impressed with the staff's caring ways. After a couple visits I had several employees who greeted me by name. I was blessed to have Tracy Seefried as my NP. Sadly, Tracy left and her patients were not even informed. Many fine staff members also left. I am glad many reviews praise the care they receive from Sheila but I was not comfortable with her. I am still at Saffire because I am blessed again by having Jessica Jaindl as my NP. She is very kind, caring and listens. It is as important to have these attributes as it is to have the knowledge to make wise choices for my care. In addition I want to commend Susan for her caring way whether on the phone or in person. Please do everything you can not to lose a receptionist who makes you feel you are cared for and handles appointments with a warm smile and calls you by your name. In closure, it really is important not to have a constant revolving door of staff members. For those of us, especially when dealing with multiple health issues, to not lose our trusted medical staff."
"Initially, I was really impressed with this practice as I really liked the provider I was seeing, Jessica. However, there have been two communication issues that makes it seem like there is some management/communication issues within the office. The result is that I cannot get the medication I need. Communication issue 1 - I was told to come in for non-fasting blood work to check vitamin levels. When I went to check in, they were refusing to do the blood work because I didn't fast. This was late afternoon, as well - I would not schedule fasting blood work for 4pm. I told them what they were checking and that it wasn't fasting blood work. Only after insisting did they finally check and agree to do the lab work. Communication issue 2 - Pharmacy sends a prior authorization to the doctor's office who calls because they don't consider me a patient. They don't consider me a patient because they didn't tell me to set up an appointment at my last visit, at check out they didn't schedule an appointment , and I was told my blood work was fine. If you don't schedule me an appointment, nor do you tell me I need to schedule an appointment, I have no way of knowing you expect to see me. I've also never had a primary care physician expect to see me every three months, just once a year - and I haven't hit a year since my physical. Hopefully, the office figures out their communication/charting issues. If that is resolved, it would be a great family practice. But I do find it concerning that in just the initial visit and follow up, they had two significant communication issues. I'm also more than a little upset that their failure to communicate means I have no access to my medication."
"My 94 year old father looks forward to seeing Dr. Higdon. She takes time to explain everything and answer all of his questions. She treats him so kindly and has helped him have a better quality of life by changing some of his medications. I wouldn't want him to go anywhere else for his health care. The nurses and all staff members are helpful and friendly too."
"Tried different places and this is the one i will stick with. Its truely a professional place with a good family doctor feel. Actually look forward to my appointments with Sheila and Amanda they really make you feel comfortable. Have had a couple conditions that everyone had over the years and they found them and i now feel better then ever with the proper treatments. Highly recommend."
