"Madison was the best thing that happened during my initial postpartum days!!! Best choice I ever made! This was my second child, so I knew the drill but also knew I wanted extra support instead of treading the waters solo like the first time around and dealing with all the hardships that come solo as well. Madison served as an amazing sounding board when sleep deprivation was setting in and her cheery, positive demeanor was always so comforting. I loved how steadfast she was in how to care for newborns, and how to plan around feedings and sleeping so that I didn’t have to think too much!:) She would put my daughter down for naps with such ease and happily find things that needed to be cleaned or tidied while I took a much needed nap. Overall, I highly recommend hiring Madison!! I just wish she could work for me full time forever!!! Do yourself and your family a huge favor and get the support you need in the fourth trimester and hire Madison!!! You won’t regret it!!! She is one of a kind!!!"
"I started working with Madison when I was 2 months postpartum. I was suffering from severe anxiety and was not feeling the joy that I was so desperately seeking as a new mom. Everyone kept telling me “don’t worry it gets easier” but as each week would pass and nothing changed I felt like I was drowning. I knew that it wouldn’t be like a light switch and all of a sudden one day I would feel better, I knew I needed help. Madison swooped in and saved the day, she taught me things I didn’t know which started to make the days go much smoother! She instilled confidence in me at a time when everyday I was so unsure of myself. I wish I would have hired Madison from the very beginning, had I done so I would have saved myself a lot of tears and stress but I didn’t know what a postpartum doula was and even if I did I do think all postpartum doulas are created equally. Working with Madison was a turning point in my postpartum journey, it feels weird to say but I feel like she helped me learn how to be a mom, or more recognize my full potential as a mom. Madison has a heart of gold, you can tell this is her calling and she is so passionate of helping mothers out of exactly what I was going through. She is gentle but also helps stretch you in a way that is exciting and not as scary because she is by your side. She is a breath of fresh air, I would always look forward to her visits and every time she left I felt energized and excited to implement everything we discussed. I will forever be grateful to Madison and to God who I firmly believe made it so our paths crossed. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself, she is a great listener, gives wonderful advice, she is nurturing, the only downside is you do miss her after her job is done as she becomes like a best friend you didn’t know you had! Thank you Madison for helping me, you will always be apart of our family!"
"Madison changed my postpartum period. I knew my mother couldn’t come for very long after I had the baby and wanted someone who could fill that emotionally supportive, experienced role for my first baby. But it turns out Madison is way better than a family member anyways! (Sorry mom) We planned to have her for two weeks but ended up asking her to continue to assist us for 8 weeks because she was so fantastic. I always looked forward to the days when she would come and everything felt better and made more sense after she left. Even my husband would save up questions for the days she came. She is a wealth of knowledge and a sanity saver. Ranging from belly bands to sleeping schedules to recommendations for pelvic floor therapists and more, she helps with all things related to early motherhood. My baby and I were having major feeding challenges. It was extremely stressful for me but Madison was so supportive and helped me feel better and feel confident about my decisions. Plus she is always a text away and willing to find additional resources for you. I know when I look back on this precious period, Madison will be a big part of my positive memories. I would recommend her to anyone. If you are unsure of whether you want a postpartum doula or not, I say go for it!"
"Madison is deeply passionate about her work, clearly evidenced by the thoughtful, thorough, and informed yet approachable way she serves her clients. In every interaction I felt fully heard, understood, supported, and encouraged. Madison takes the time to know your deepest desires and fears, goals and concerns, and helps you navigate each new – and often difficult – question with grace, knowledge, and confidence. Working with Madison helped me to feel empowered in my post-partum experience – I was able to step boldly into this monumental life shift feeling strong and prepared yet still adaptable to the inevitable changes to plans. And when plans changed, Madison was always just a quick text, phone call, or house-visit away – consistent and reliably there with calm, clear guidance focused on achieving my stated goals for my family. Madison is more than a doula – she is a friend, an anchor, and a true example of the community families so desperately deserve post-partum."
"Madison truly wants every new parent to feel supported and encouraged. She has been an integral part of my postpartum journey by always being willing to listen, give advice, and help in every way. Even as we were living in different cities, Madison and I spoke on the phone and video chatted as often as I wanted. Not only did Madison patiently respond to my questions with practical advice and reassurance, she also helped me as I processed through the many life changes I was experiencing. Madison’s knowledge and compassion are the perfect combination for building the trusting relationship that is so necessary between doula and new parent. I am so grateful for Madison because her support, encouragement, and education helped me feel more confident as I entered motherhood."
