"I apologize to Dr. Berg because I had a great experience at the office where he treated my mother in May 2023. I would like to inform you that your staff, those who handle paperwork, billing, and insurance, should get more training to avoid this type of situation. I had a paper referral from my mother’s PCP, and little did we know that we would need to contact our PCP to send another referral electronically. Five months passed, and we received a bill that only covered 10% of the cost from her insurance. Because 90 days had passed, my mother’s insurance refused to acknowledge the new electronic referral, declined to pay for her treatment, and left us almost a thousand dollars before Christmas. This situation could have been avoided if your staff had communicated and informed us of the problem. Therefore, my mother and I will not seek treatment, nor will I recommend that anyone come to the office in the future."
