(To the extent that you only notice the smell for a few weeks after taking strong antibiotics) However, if I did as Dr. Hsu said, I've come to feel the smell as much as a normal person, albeit not completely, even without surgery! My daughter needed an ENT bc the doctor who she originally went to stopped paying attention to what I was saying and left my daughter's tube in her ear for over 2 years even though I insisted it needed to be taken out. I wound up getting a tonsillectomy and would not have wanted to do the procedure with anyone else as he did a fantastic job.
