"Never had an issue getting labs done. Quick and kind service. Even when it’s crowded I’m in and out under an hour! Only location I choose. Front desk ppl are pretty fast. And the lab techs are good at their sticks for blood. I can’t complain. Bathroom always clean plenty of chairs and space. They just need to list the hours up here on google"
"First time here for pre op labs. Registration process wasn’t pleasant at all. Very cold and unfriendly interaction. The other registration lady employee yelled out a number and the elderly lady didn’t move fast enough she yelled out the number in a most unprofessional manner as if she was irritated that the lady did not move or respond fast enough. I felt sorry for the lady. I’m in the medical field and this should be addressed with additional training in customer service. Very disappointed as Sentara has the monopoly in the area for patient care and services. Anticipating the rest of my visit for my pre op services hoping the back office atmosphere is better. Wrong! The experience in the back with the lab tech was even worse what has happened to customer service in the healthcare industry?. I could not understand what she was telling me to do and I asked her to explain it again and she stopped talking and stared at me for a moment and then said “ I was trying to tell you to pull your shirt all the way up” the tone was very passive aggressive. As I spoke to her after that she did not respond .Then pushed the needle in my arm very hard leaving me with a very large hematoma ( first time ever for me as my vein is easily accessible) I took a photo All I can say is that I pray my surgery team experiences are better. Disappointed in this lab experience."
"My experience may not have mirrored the multitude of other unhappy folks that have come here, so I figured I would chime in. Of note, this Google search returns an address of 1950 Glenn Mitchell Drive #102, when it is in fact 1975 Glenn Mitchell Drive #100. I will admit to being frustrated trying to find the place, given that it isnt updated on Google properly. (my only complaint) I arrived at around 8:30 to a friendly lady stationed outside the entrance who helps assist you on what the process is and gives you your number to be seen. You will then sit and wait for a bit wait to hear from one of 4 or so insurance reps to see if your insurance information is good to go to have your blood drawn. After that process is done, you sit back down and wait to one of the nurses to call you back to one of the blood draw stations in another room, where the process of getting blood drawn was quick and painless. It is fully staffed, clean, and efficient. The entire process took about 30 minutes. I do recommend getting there as early as possible to mirror this experience though, as I could see it getting backed up during busy parts of the day."
"The staff is nice but they are overwhelmed with patients. The last two times I went for labs, they have lost the results with no explanation. When I went there to ask whom I could talk to, they could not provide a number to a supervisor or locate anyone who could help me either track down or explain why both test results were lost."
