Reviews of The Crossroads Inn
"Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Crossroads Inn recently, a quaint, historic inn on the grounds of beautiful Pippin Hill farm and winery. Joe the innkeeper greeted us and happily shared the history of the old establishment. We stayed in the cottage which was cozy and comfortable. Fresh eggs from the chickens out back made for an amazing breakfast. We can't wait to come back."
"We enjoyed our stay tremendously! We had the Roosevelt Suite and enjoyed having a sitting room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. New press o machine and robes were a nice touch! Breakfast by Joe was delicious - homemade egg frittatas, biscuits, and pastries. Joe was so kind and took good care of us! 8 min walk to Pippin Hill Winery. Loved our stay here. We will be back!"
"Congratulation, you just made an intelligent decision by reading this review. Keep reading and I will give you multiple reasons why you should make another great decision and book a reservation at The Crossroads Inn. My head says enjoy the knowledge and enthusiasm you will see and hear from Joe and Matt, the Inn Keepers. Get Joe started on his career path to becoming an awesome Chef or engage Matt on his depth of film knowledge from Spirited Away to Randolph Scott. No, you are not too young to learn about Randolph Scott. Perhaps you are not yet an expert on the origins of why there are so many excellent vineyards on the “Monticello Wine Trail”. Matt can tell you why. So much for my head’s opinion, the stomach has the floor. Joe is going to create a custom breakfast for you. They are simple, elegant and tasty. You may be dining adjacent to a couple from Cedar Rapids or Denmark, but I guarantee you will not be eating next to the Clampetts with do-it-yourself waffles and scrambled eggs that make sawdust look appetizing, should you choose to stay at a XXX Inn. It is an adventure made memorable by the history, the vistas, the welcoming hospitality and of course a glass of wine (or two)"
"We stayed at the Pippin cottage. Cute place for a couple of nights. Nespresso machine and mini-fridge provided in the kitchenette and a futon in the living room area downstairs. Upstairs was the bedroom and bathroom and a deck off the bedroom. The bed was comfortable. It was lovely sitting out on the deck. Joe was a wonderful host and makes the most delicious breakfasts."
"This is an A+ experience. The rooms are historical and well furnished. The views are scenic. You're in an epicenter of wineries and breweries. The place can accommodate moderately handicapped. There are no ramps nor elevators. So not wheelchair accessible. But if you can walk, you'll have a delightful experience. Joe and Matt (hosts) are very welcoming and helpful."
