"Fun place to stay in Nelson. Great jump off spot for hiking, brew, and wine. Room was excellent. Customer service was excellent as I had to switch dates last minute twice and was immediately taken care of. Right on 151 which has become quite busy over the years. In the room noise was not an issue. Outside it’s hard to ignore. Will definitely return."

"We loved our stay here. The house has been meticulously renovated. All of the furnishings are fresh and new while still maintaining the character of the house. The rooms have everything you need for a wonderful stay, including the most comfortable bed ever. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee bar and the game room immensely. The trails and outdoor areas are spectacular! We can't wait to visit during the summer to use the pool!! It is also close to all of the fun things that Nelson County has to offer."

"I was thrilled to get the chance to catch up with a friend at Afton Mountain Inn Afton, VA. I was extra thrilled when I arrived and saw what a beautiful place we were staying at. The property is located conveniently near many wineries, breweries, restaurants, and other conveniences yet feels secluded and private.There is a pool, a couple of hot tubs, and a firepit to enjoy. The balconies overlook the the surrounding woods that host a nature trail, creek, and picnic tables. On the inside, the place is awesome! Beautifully decorated common rooms which were so comfortable and clean. Coffee and snacks and a gourmet kitchen and plenty of space to hang out were much appreciated. The room I had was lovely and had everything one might want. There was a large TV, espresso machine, refrigerator, and my own bathroom. Even the towels, robe, sheets, and pillows were luxurious. A top-notch place that I will definitely be talking about for awhile and one that I would like to stay at again. Thank you Afton Mountain Inn!"

"I recently stayed at Afton Mountain Inn and had the most glorious time! The place was spotless (I am always picky about cleanliness)! The bed was incredibly comfortable, with the most fluffy pillows. I love that they offer filtered water in the common area! The coffee was delicious and the shampoo, conditioner and lotion were really nice and high quality! There is a lovely trail in the backyard that leads to a creek that was super fun to discover. Overall, I was blown away by my stay and would gladly return my next trip to Virginia!"
