Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center

"Terrible experience with Sentara Records folks in an attempt to make a correction to my address. Many months ago someone in the Sentara group abbreviated my street name & now appears as an abbreviation across Sentara providers. I waited on hold today for 20 minutes in a 3rd attempt in 3 months to correct the mistake. I’m not sure the clerk made the changes because she indicated to me that she was very busy. Our USPS mailman indicated that the only reason they are delivering the mail is that they know my name & name of the street in an unabbreviated form but cannot guarantee that I will receive future mail from Sentara with the probability that it will returned to sender. I can’t make changes on the Sentara app & not sure that the records folks really care. At least when it was Optima you got better results. Not happy. Update 01-29: It took a helpful and extremely positive Patient Service Rep by the name of Corrine (sp?) who went above and beyond in an attempt to initiate change only to guide me back to my primary care physician who had the global records reach to make the address change. Thank you Corrine for your friendly service & for going above and beyond without the attitude & thank you to Dr Langer’s friendly primary care team for gladly making the changes. 5 stars to you both!"

"My father was admitted on 12/23/23, with a gallbladder issue and required a procedure to control extremely painful attacks. The doctors and surgeon was very professional and genuinely concerned about the care of my father. He had a broken femur on 11/28/23 and was treated at a small rural hospital in Franklin VA. Since the day he arrived here, the staff here have been amazing! The nurses, doctors, LPNs, janitors, and security have been so kind and professional. I am truly grateful, it has been the best care in a hospital that I have ever experienced! I spent two nights here with my father and saw the level of care firsthand! It is a place where ALL the staff has been 5 star! The best Christmas present I received ever, knowing my father is getting excellent care. Thank you Williamsburg Sentera this community and your patients and family members are fortunate to have your service here!!!"
