"In the process of being renovated, we were the first to stay in our unit since renovation. Having stayed at most Massanutten areas, this one is one of the nicest. Also having stayed in the old Eagle Trace the renovation was badly needed and is well done; nice new furniture, smart TV, new carpeting and hardwood, etc. Though, the layout has some nuanced things that suck (such as the bathrooms tiny countertop or the coffee table being far too small and low), and the overall design is rather bland (all neutral with no decor to speak of). Overall very nice, would recommend. Also, get a half-kitchen unit if you can; they're on the top floor and much quieter/have better view."
"these units are dated. The unit we stayed in, we could not access the gas fireplace. Towels are thin and rough textured. Furniture is cheap, not very comfortable."
"We have stayed at most of the Massanutten Resort timeshares and this is by far the worst. Very dated, fireplace doesn't work, can't unlock door too balcony, shower toggle doesn't work, queen bed seems closer to double. The housekeeping staff is doing their best. Steam behind unit is nice. Needs major renovations. 336 Lopez."
"The condos are split between upstairs (B) and downstairs (A). The B side has a jacuzzi and half kitchen, which we opted for. Definitely the right call. The jacuzzi was relaxing and the half kitchen was not a problem at all since it came with a two burner hotplate, microwave and gas grill. The rooms are a little dated looking and the main entrance had a few dead bugs/cockroaches. The space was roomy and great for the family and we enjoyed it."
"This is a great family vacation place. We've been there several times, always in the summer. The rooms have enough space, with comfortable but not luxurious furnishings. There are enough sleeping spots for our big family. Maintenance is done well enough, but we have had a few minor issues. This year, we didn't have running TP (only two rolls for both units) and it took three calls over two days to get it corrected. In the resort, the pools are great, and activities like go karts, ropes course, and crafts keep the family entertained. Having spent money on the accommodations and travel, we prefer not to invest in these much. The water park is quite nice, but in our view only with the price with some kind of discount. Our favorite part, however is just the natural setting: hiking, hiking for drives on the nearby mountain roads, especially Skyline Drive, and enjoying sunsets over the ridge or sunrises over the valley. As a cyclist, I've really enjoyed the cycling: inside the resort the roads are hilly, but out in the farmland in the valley, this are beautiful and traffic is much lighter than I am used to in the Atlanta area. The mountain biking on the Western Slope is very nice, although a little rocky. I highly recommend bringing the bike. I haven't done the lift-accessed downhill trails, but the look great."
