"I'm going to have 2 different reviews of the hospital bc in the span of 5 hours I had 2 different doctor teams and 2 different experiences. I arrived about 230-3am on Friday the 8th. I was in a bad way when I got there. The team that works that shift was outstanding. Dr. Hinkle and her crew were wonderful. Fast, efficient, knew their job, and although a lot of stuff was happening, I never once was confused about what they were doing. I'm sure they weren't expecting all this when I came in, but it was handled gracefully and I never felt I was in bad hands. They were very attentive and made my husband and I feel at ease. I hated to see them go. Everyone was hands on and labs and tests were reviewed in a fast and thorough manner. I would recommend them to everyone. Well I guess I can't review 2. So we'll edit. Shift change came and I got new people while I waited to be taken to a higher trauma hospital. To this day I have no who the doctor is. He could walk in my house and I still wouldn't know. Even the doctor at greeneville asked and I had no idea. Never saw him, but I could hear him him laughing at the nurses station. The nurses were just as attentive. They were literally on the other side of a sheet. I figured out if I could get my catheter to beep they'd come so I'd do that every once in awhile so I could get some water or help moving bc those beds are so unbelievably uncomfortable. It was such a night and day difference between the 2 crews. I swear if I walked in and found out that male doctor was there, I'd go somewhere else. And Dr. Hinkle and crew, I'm sorry I had to drop your review. You were wonderful."
"I was misdiagnosed. Said nothing was wrong with me, sure enough it was my gull bladder. Who ever is reading the cat scans should be fired. Not only did they say nothing was wrong they said my uterus looked great even though I don't have one."
"Two different instances both myself and my family have been treated poorly by doctors and nurses. The doctors have a "holier than thou" attitude and treated my family and myself poorly while never taking the time to even treat the issue properly. Pathetic excuse for a hospital and even more pathetic excuse for medical professionals."
"All I heard about this hospital were horrible things that made me never want to step foot in this place, when my 2 year old had a fall down some concrete steps, I was forced to take her to the closest hospital, which was Rogersville. They got her back super quick, the doctor who looked over her was extremely informative of what was going on and guided us through making the best decision for our daughter, now several weeks later we have a little girl who is completely happy again and is a little more cautious with stairs, will consider Rogersville Hospital in the future."
"I sadly share in the worst emergency room doctor and nurse practitioner. I am a selfpay. I went ito er in jan of this year, with covid, complaining of chest pains. The male NP told me he would not do chest xray, it would be waste of time and money, but if my symptoms changed, to come back. So I came back in 2 days, feeling worse, still having chest pain. I did see that dr. (c), He literally told me there was nothing he could do and I needed to go home and stick it out. He listened to my left lung and did tell me it wasnt pneumonia. After a month of suffering at home, I went to my dr. he made me get ct scan, which showed a mild collapsed lung, pleurisy and 4 fractured ribs…. That dr and np, services are paid through EMBCC. They charged me 1416, per visit. In addition to the emergency room visits. $2400.00 for no medical help, not even the paxlovid prescription. The np did give me a prescription for the coughing pills tho. But I only threw them up. I will never ever go back to this emergency room. I will go to Kingsport or Morristown. I think the hospital administrator needs to be aware of what kind of medical staff they are contracting with. These two men are the worst. Only wanting their pay check. They were not compassionate or interested in me. They just wanted me out of there. And it was painfully obvious. My husband was with me on both visits and he was furious. UPDATE: The girls who work for EMBCC were able to reduce my bills. This does not change my view of the doctors who were working in the ER when I went. Hopefully they are gone. I have also recently went to get a mammogram, through the Health Dept access program. The hospital side was very nice. Admittance through xray. Thats why I changed my rating from 1 to 2 stars. Hospital facility is old thats why I did not give hospital more stars, after the mmgram visit."
