"I was sent there by the VA hospital ER to have a heart cath done. I spent 2 days in a bed waiting, only to have the cardiologist there to tell me he felt i didn't need the test MY VA DOCTOR SENT ME THERE TO HAVE. I'll never go back there even if I'm dying... I would give zero stars if possible!!!"

"The hospital has amazing staff full of compassion. The nurses and other members of the nursing hierarchy is top notch. The doctors are A+ in service delivery. The hematology department are on top of their game. Very neat environment I greatly recommend the hospital for first class care."

"Bad experience in the ER last April with a talus fracture & ankle dislocation. They wouldn't tell me anything (did I break my foot? my ankle? no one would say even after xrays). Took nearly 90 mins from arrival time to give me any painkillers (kept saying there was no one to approve it... on a Saturday early evening), and then the nurses were talking badly of me in the hallway saying my anxiety was too high (yeah, my bone is split in half, I'm shaking from pain, and I can't feel my foot, and no one is telling me anything. Of course I have anxiety). Told me when they were trying to reset the bone I wouldn't feel it, that I'd be in a twilight state -- was literally the worst pain I ever felt, and when I was transferred to a different hospital to do my surgery, they told me the bone was set backwards. Personally I don't think they should've tried to set the bone at all, because they didn't have the expertise."

"This hospital is amazing. I needed a ct scan and was told it would be at least 6 weeks before I could get one in Huntington. When I called Raleigh General they got me in for my scan in a couple days. Everyone from scheduling to the radiologist was super nice and friendly. It might be just a small test but for me to get in and to be treated like family it was a huge blessing."

"I have an uncle in there at the present time. My dog would get better care at the veterinary clinic! Was admitted on Friday for a severe UTI in the bloodstream. He is also a cancer patient in late stage of cancer. The personal care he has received has been pretty much zero. On Saturday it was left to the wife and daughter to bathe him, change his sheets and get the detailed cleaning that needs to be done in depth in regards to his stomach situation and care of the area. He has a persistent cough and no reason can be found as to why and no signs of Covid, flu, bronchitis or pneumonia can be found and yet it’s left untreated so it makes you wonder is the initial issue going to be resolved at all. Obviously no one has a clue and reason being they don’t care. Upon his release I personally will be calling the powers that be and having a little discussion over the issue. He has yet to be out of the bed to sit up in a chair or take a small walk. He can get around on his own he is capable but not allowed to do so on his own which is law and understandable. At this rate he will leave in worse shape than what he was when admitted. Imagine a cancer patient living day to day not knowing if tomorrow will come having to endure simple disregard of mankind to your fellow man. No wonder this facility holds a 2.2 rating. I call it a facility because it is in no way a hospital."
