"If I could give this place zero stars I would they have no compassion for others they have no clue what's it like to go hungry at all or to have to be homeless because they put lift restrictions on you nope. They want you all calm not mad. I won't be back even if I was dying. Next time I get hurt I'm not saying anything to no one."
"It all depends on what doctor you see. In the ER for example, you may get to see a knowledgeable doctor thats eager to help you. Kind, caring, and will listen (most of them are). The next time you go, you may see one of THOSE doctors that are rude with no manners, that’s on the verge of verbally abusing you and wanting to do nothing more than give you a Tylenol and send you home. Thankfully, I can say I’ve had far more positive experiences here than negative and glad to say they have more doctors/staff that do want to help instead of the few hateful ones that are there for a paycheck. Their ER is miles ahead of Pikeville Medical Center in terms of care. Unfortunately, I’ve had to be admitted a few times. You have your outstanding nurses that will do anything for you and earn every penny of their pay. Then you have the lazy ones. Luck of the draw, hope you get an attentive one if you’re admitted or you’re in for a long day/night. Cafeteria wise when I was admitted, I would say above average for them to be a hospital. They closed their billing office and outsourced it. Since then, it’s been a mess. So prepare for a headache when the bills start coming in and you see they are incorrect. Because they have greatly helped me feel better in my times with different issues, I’ll still give a 4."
"After a recent episode of illness with my mom, we took her to This hospital. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They seemed to care about us and our mom. She spent a few days there but she got to come home and she's doing better now."
"There's probably handful of staff there worth anything. It starts from the CEO to housekeeping. The CEO is pathetic, you never can speak to him about any matter. He's either "not there" nor will he return phone calls. I have made several attempts to get ahold of him from calling to leaving messages and going in person. I truly believe if they had listen to me and done as I requested that my mother would still be alive. The ER doctor had to be the most lazy and sorry doctor I had ever met. If you need quality care or more advanced care, get your butt out Buchanan General Hospital."
