"It seems like this place was always hot garbage, and they certainly are now. I’ve never been to a facility that has actively gate-kept me from treatment as much as this VA clinic. No medicine for my chronic pain, ignoring results from my blood tests, refusing to refer me to Salem for proper treatment, and NEVER answering the phone within office hours. This place has a litany of problems, and I can guarantee that more than a few veterans have died because of their active negligence. This place needs to be shut down, and all the employees barred from ever practicing in anything even remotely related to medicine. It’s a stain on American society."
"Dr. Scott is an excellent doctor and person. When you talk to him you quickly learn he is very smart and truly cares about you and your health. This was my first visit at the Lynchburg location to see a doctor there but I wish I had gone to see him much earlier. I would be better off now if I had gone in sooner."
"The phlebotomist at the Lynchburg CBOC is the best in her business. She is one of the most friendly medical professionals I have ever met. She turns something that could be stressful into a pleasant experience. When I go to have blood drawn, I am always relieved when she comes out and calls my name. I know right then the job will be done right. She is the best. The clinic gets a negative 1 star for ability to contact by telephone. The care I have received here is great. I also have used the community access program for Med Express which has worked well. I cancelled an appointment for my annual physical in March and they cancelled twice since then, So my appointment has been pushed to the end of June. They must have staffing issues."
"You get the care and doctors are good but it's impossible to get anyone on the phone no matter the day or time. Being seen alternatively in Salem often means due to access, they are much quicker to provide specialty care and referrals. The doctor I see here is a genuinely smart and friendly guy and I like him as my doctor."
"I haven’t had any issues with this clinic. Everyone has been very kind and professional. I’ve been fortunate to have even become more than just a patient with some of the care staff. They work with on scheduling an appointment and have actually been pretty flexible. If I were to complain about anything, it would be the frequency in which the care providers come and go. There are a couple of providers that are still there, but my specific team has changed a couple times in a 5 year period."
