"I want to take a second and recognize the ladies back in out-patient surgery. I'm a regular, every 6 months I visit this department for my MS Infusion. I can't speak highly enough of their kindness, sincerity, and quality of effort and care. Thanks so much, Michelle, and every here, that helps makes a long day, a much better experience."

"One of my relatives recently went to Giles hospital a few months ago because the other doctors they went to said they needed to go to the hospital to get an IV or some sort of medicine that would work out at the hospital. The trip was a disaster. There was a rude nurse who asked my relative if they were just “doctor hopping to get medicine” and my relative explained it to the doctor and the doctor was very understanding about this yet the nurse was quite rude. For the record, they were not doctor hopping yet just trying to get some help with an infection. My relative sat up in the hospital for hours with a infection that could have killed them. I always tell people I know to not go up to Giles hospital if you’d just rather die at home, Because you’d probably die anyway if you go up there. I had a similar problem a few years ago when I got a bad case of strep and they had me waiting in that cold room waiting for a doctor for forever and I wanted to say forget it and walk out. Just go to a different hospital like Princeton or Blacksburg. This hospital is worth nothing."

"My gf was seen in the ER after a sudden, severe pain in her side and ribs made it difficult to breath, walk, etc. The did *zero* screenings or checks in the area that was in pain, and instead insisted that it was period related. After coming back a second time due to another intense bout of pain, they yet again insisted it was period related, did no screenings in the affected area, and then came to the brilliant conclusion that it was probably just related to anxiety and sent her home with painkillers and zoloft. If you're a woman who is in need of medical attention and want doctors who will listen to you, go somewhere else."

"The staff and Dr Hester were great! However, no answers. Left in pain. It was Labor day, so pharmacy was closed. So, No paun relief thru the night. Topical stuff only. And no results of CT. No blood work. Unusual. This morning i called the surgeon the doc reffered me to and there was no refferal. Then, the lady was able to find that i had been to the ER however the ER doc has not completed and signed the orders. 24 hrs later. Thankfully, The lady I spoke with this morning did make an appt to see surgeon tomorrow, however im confused as to why there is absolutely nothing on mychart? It is unusual from what I am accustomed to. Thank you"

"I typically try to avoid this hospital but after tonight I'd rather die at home then ever go back. Despite me telling them my symptoms and issues, they looked for things completely unrelated, gave me medicine I did not need, told me all the things they looked for were clear (thanks captain obvious), and sent me home. This hospital is a joke. If you need real medical attention do NOT go here."
