"Absolutely unprofessional. I filed my 2020/2021 taxes with a tax representative named cassondra back in march of this year (2022). According to this “company” there were no issues with my 2020 return even though I’ve yet to receive the money for this tax return. My 2021 return — well I’m still unsure what happened or what is still going on. Somehow my 2021 taxes were filed “signed off” on without my husbands income without either of us ever seeing or signing any documents. Before being informed of this info we were approved for almost a 8k tax return (wow). A few days later I was contacted by cassondra and informed of this “mistake”. Even though very little information was given, but “more information would be found out and we would be contacted”. The next several weeks we’re followed with multiple phone calls to several HR block associates along with the district manager “Michael”. He said he would find out what happened and let us know. Michael failed to contact me back and was reached back out too. I was given a “these things happen” he handed me back over to cassondra to finish the taxes correctly and that since the money had been receive (the almost 8k) that we would just “give back what wasn’t ours” (almost 4k). I confirmed the banking and routing information with cassondra for the money to be pulled once the new documents were approved by the IRS. It’s now going in to august. The location is “closed”. I’ve call and texted the district manager multiple times with no response. I still have this almost 4k of the irs money in my account waiting to be taken on top of me not receiving my 2020 tax return. I’ve used H&R Block before and my husband has too for years. After this I would be better off allowing our pug to file our taxes. We’re terrified somehow our information was given to the “wrong” person. We don’t understand how something was “signed” that we never seen nor received. Why is the money still awaiting the IRS, but I had to give my banking and routing number? This company handles socials. They handle dates of birth. Literally EVERYTHING you need to steal someone’s identity, but cant manage to tell me how my information ended up being sent to the IRS with my signature somehow on it when I NEVER SIGNED."
