"Visitors Center is Closed, probably indefinitely. Driving tour and pull-offs along the battle front are open and have signage explaining each site. But don't expect to see their small museum as it is closed."
"A little underwhelming, but it was never worked up to be much so I shouldn't have set such high standards. It is, in fact, the fork of five roads, adorned with two monuments and some signage and nothing more. It is interesting to see the battlefield almost exactly as it was on the day of the battle."
"Set in the battlegrounds of one of the last civil war encounters, hiking Five Forks provides great exercise under towering pines. Using All Trails app is helpful near the end as the trail tends to be overgrown & less defined. Otherwise, follow the yellow blaze trail (always choose left) which circumnavigates the park. The trail basically offers a smooth, pine needle floor amidst beautiful, surroundings pine trees. It's an easy, hike made challenging by the 6.5+ miles duration. It's definitely worth the long drive from RVA to the Dinwiddle area. Visitors Center & parking area is permanently closed. You can park a little beyond the entrance & walk back to the TH just left of the Center."
"It was such a nice day we decided to drive down to Dinwiddie Co. to walk some of the Five Forks Battlefield trails. Who who would’ve expected to find rocks like this there. Even though the visitors center parking lot was closed the equestrian Trail parking lot was open which served our needs perfectly. When we got back we even found a Dinwiddie Co. sheriffs deputy protecting our car."
"Nice informative place to visit. Good descriptions of what occurred. The ranger was also very willing to answer any questions."
