Holiday Inn Express & Suites Charlottesville - Ruckersville, an IHG Hotel

"The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. The hotel was clean upon check in. Unfortunately our room never got cleaned during our three day stay. We had to request new towels twice. We were gone from the room all day so it isn't like there wasn't time for them to access it. After one of our towel requests (after we were brought up new ones) someone had clearly came in our room and tidied up the bathroom but did not remake the beds or remove the old towels. Give the amount that we paid, the fact that we are members I had higher expectations. I personally would suggest finding another hotel near by if you're planning a stay for more than one night."

"I would stay here as a last resort. The lamps and appliances were rusted in the room, the people across the hall were fighting day and night, and there were people hanging out in the parking lot all hours of the night. Didn’t feel the safest or cleanest here."

"We stayed here as we were getting married close by. We were extremely pleased with cleanliness of our room but also the over all hotel. There was not one bad thing at breakfast. I wanted to share our experience with Dana. She went above and beyond for us!! We had an issue with where we were supposed to stay and she took all the weight off our shoulders! Every hotel should have a Dana. Just wanted to say thank you and your team so much for the wonderful stay."

"There is no exhaust hvac in any the room or the rooms bathrooms. Building code violation. It is broken and makes the rooms stuffy and have bad air quality bad. My check in experience was awful. I booked through the IHG member site using points and a combination of cash. I was suppose to pay 33 a night for five nights. Somehow with how check in went I paid 66 a night plus 89000 points. I literally never us IHG member site again. I called ahead to find out the pet fee and was told the fee was a flat fee of 25 and the IHG website said 25. Then when I arrived Dana and Leon wouldn't check me with out charging me 25 a night. I was then charged 25 a night x 2 for a total of 250. The check-in process took 4 hours and I was talked in circles. In addition another 425 was held for incidentals. If you look at the bill at one point Dana and Leon charged me 925 dollars at check-in. Neither of them apologized. In the morning I spoke with Amy a manger. Amy was great. she spent hours on the phone with IHG and their merchant company getting my funds and released and only charged me the pet fee that was the quoted fee. Thank you so much Amy! I would honestly not even speak with with anyone but Amy. Seriously it took 3 days and hours a day correcting the mistakes of Leon and Dana."
