Chippokes State Park

"Nice beach where can fossil hunt for shark teeth...wife was excited she found a Megalodon tooth, but didn't have the heart to tell her it was just a broken shell that was in the shape of a triangle. Stayed only for an hour because was cold. Looking forward to coming when it's warmer so can fossil hunt in the water a bit."

"Very pretty and historical. Visited in late December so not very busy but nice trails to walk and still nice scenery. Will definitely be back!"

"This park was such a pleasant surprise. We biked around, camped, fed the farm animals with the staff, enjoyed the beach, and loved the museum. We got so busy here we didn't even make it to the mansion. Can't wait to visit again and do more exploring."

"Clean, not wheelchair friendly, small beach, a few small trails, one large one. Some good views, pool was closed. Needs a few updates to make it a better park. Larger beach area, area to get to beach on flat surface. More trails. Depending on where you still not worth the drive. If your local go for it. I took the ferry."

"Love this state park! So much much history. Walked through beautiful gardens by the mansion & enjoyed walking the beach for cool shells! The campground looked nice...too bad the huge pool is closed. We'll definitely be back!"
