There was no sell job or hurry to replace it , instead the technician pointed out the potential setting issue with my current thermostat that may have caused the issue and asked me to observe it for a couple of days before making an expensive decision to replace it. "After years of being lucky, our 16 year old HVAC system decided to have a total failure and be in need of replacement. The initial call to a super helpful CSR was where my service started with J Hood. She was polite, helpful, and patient with my inquiry. Fortunately she was able to send someone out the same day. Josue met with my fiancé and was able to identify some issues with the previous system and made multiple recommendations for replacement, which included “right sizing” the air handler. His professional opinion and communication skills were outstanding. Through the purchasing process, Cody was able to help me get everything processed and also answered questions for me. He even showed up on the install and it was great to meet him in person. The installation today was phenomenal. Bean and Robert made an awesome team and explained everything along the way. They were very personable and knowledgeable. I’m super impressed with their craftsmanship. The pride in their work really shines through on our new system and it looks awesome. Even our 8 year old was blown away with how everything looked upon completion. As a tradesman myself, I truly appreciate the level of service I have received from J Hood Services. "6 Months Later Review: (04/2023) Here I am six months later reviewing the install J Hood provided of my Navian tankless water heater. It remains one of the best investments I ever made. I would not acquire this in order to save energy costs as it only saves me about 17% of what I was previously paying in natural gas. I just love the peace of mind that the tank won't start leaking--critical in a condo!. Since an average tanked water heater has about a 5-7 year warranty, your savings will come from not needing to replace it twice in a 15 year period. My Air Handler was replaced in 2018 by a different company and it went kaput and they won't honor servicing it as it only had a 1-year warranty, so having J Hood come out next week to install a new air handler--this one with a 2 year warranty. Original 10/2022 Entry: First, I am a non-compensated reviewer. I rarely give 5 stars, but if I would could give 6 stars I would. Doug and Drew were extremely knowledgeable, experienced, quick, and careful during the replacement of my old tanked water heater system with a new tankless Navien system. Moreover, it wasn't just their extreme technical capabilities but also the genuine high level of integrity and ethics they brought--that can't be learned out of a book. I had several companies offer estimates and learned that you get what you pay for. I'm grateful that the leaders at J Hood had the intelligence and insight to hire these two fantastic people. Kudos go out to Cody as well for being so responsive and professional. I plan to not only use J Hood in the future but to always recommend them to anyone who asks about such a service provider for themselves."
