Reviews of George C. Marshall Foundation
"You must make an appointment to view General Marshall's papers, etc. Not open to the general public anymore."
"George Marshall a true soldier, statesman and leader was a historical figure I've always admired. The museum at VMI in Lexington (he attend college there) is a great tribute to all he did. It had a lot to offer and was laid out well. Though some may find the written material long, it is well worth the read to capture the man and his times. Staff is courteous and informative. I will return because I could only absorb so much at one time. What I did garner was informative and close to awe inspiring. A great man has a wonderful memorial in a fine setting. A truly worthwhile place to visit."
"The George C. Marshall Museum (located on VMI's campus) showcases the accomplishments of one of America's Great Generals, George Marshall. Inside the museum you will see a real Nobel Peace Prize, an authentic Oscar from the movie "Patton", and an old Jeep, amongst other things. My family and I had a great time visiting the museum."
"Excellent collection of WWII history including Marshall's Nobel Prize. A must see for any Marshall fan. Rotating collection of WWII posters were great. Nice museum on the campus of VMI. Take the VMI's free campus tour before going to the museum on the college's most famous alumni."
"Great museum to learn about a great American hero. Learned new facts that my history teacher's left out."
