"Camped three nights. Park is another Virginia gem. I have a pretty high bar for parks and this one does not disappoint. The lake is beautiful, the grounds are well kept, and the camp store was very well stocked. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the trails but will need to schedule more time."
"Douthat State Park is the perfect place to unplug, unwind, relax and enjoy one of the most beautiful places in Virginia. The park has cabins and campgrounds for tent/RV campers. The beach area has a store that sells snacks and ice cream, clean restrooms at beach complex. You can rent kayaks, paddle boats, canoes, paddle boards and john boats by the hour (must be 16 or older). Camp store is packed with all the essentials you may need. The park offers several playgrounds and hiking trails. They have a restaurant that is open daily 9-5. The park is well maintained and very clean. We have enjoyed it for years and hope to enjoy it for years to come. No Internet or cell phone service. All employees are friendly and smiling! Enjoy nature and unplug. I’m convinced it is the best state park in Virginia and we have been to many over the years."
