Reviews
"Not always open, but you can still park and walk 1/4 mile to the property from the main road."
"Short walk down gravel road to Elwood house. Stonewall's arm is buried in cemetery which is clearly marked"
"I heard about this lesser known site from Atlas Obscura and stopped by on my way up to Harper's Ferry. Follows signs to the Ellwood Manor, which has a small gravel entrance. It's a beautiful site with a historic home. The monument is a short walk from the property. The ranger on duty, Stewart, was so friendly and full of historical facts not only about Stonewall's arm but also the property and that family that owned it."
"Interesting stop if you're in the area learning about not only the Civil War but also what happened to Stonewall Jackson during the battle of Chancellorsville. As always, NP rangers are stationed here during the summer to give you all the details you need. They never disappoint in their knowledge!"
"Jackson's arm is buried at the Ellwood house family cemetary. The farm is absolutely gorgeous! There were volunteers that gave a tour of the house and the rich history of its occupants. Highly recomend!"
