"Best dog park anywhere. Huge, wooded, and shaded yet enough open for plenty of running, wide lake front, plenty of swimming puppies. Scenic setting, and good fishing, swimming, boating spots. About a 50 yard trail to get to the dog park. Convenient location near airport, but just far enough to avoid overcrowding."
"This is my favorite place to row a tiny boat with my family. Nice little pier for all kinds of rowboats and kayaks. Planes fly over frequently."
"Nice looking hilltop park . Dammed lake for fishing and swimming. Dog park here also. Came to do the White Rock loop trail. Enjoyed it. May be a fee at times. The kiosk was closed during our visit."
"Was waiting for a family to come in to the Charlottesville Airport and had a few hours between people arriving. I happened to glance at the navigation screen install a lake just around the corner. We drove over and spent a few hours there. It was the most amazing experience, especially having not even planned to do anything except for sit in an airport. Truly a diamond in the rough!"
