"It's a very short (1.1-mile loop) well-maintained and higher traffic hiking trail loop with some elevation right across Dickey Ridge Visitor Center, where there are a visitor center with a gift shop, restrooms, lots of parking, and an overlook."
"An easy to moderate 2 miles trail loop with 18 floors elevation change. Trail starts with walking across the Skyline Drive in front of the visitor center. A small historic cemetery on the trail. It’s more like a hike at a local park. Good for a relaxing walk or a quick exercise. If you expect a trail with a great vista, look for other trails."
"Easy trail for adults, medium difficulty terrain at parts with a toddler. We saw several families while doing the Fox hollow trail to dickey ridge back to the visitor center loop. The trail was mostly well kept. there were a few points in which it got a little bit narrow which made it hard during quarantine time but everyone on the trail was very respectful. This trail is not as high traffic as some of the other parts of the park. we were able to complete the entire trail with the toddler in about an hour and a half. Even though the Shenandoah app said that it should take about 45 minutes to an hour, we took our time."
"This trail can be found directly across the street from the Visitors Center. Although listed as an "Easy Hike" be aware that at times the path could be a little steep uphill or downhill. We went on this trail with a toddler and enjoyed it very much. If you are also trekking with a little one, please note this trail is not paved and there are many rocks and roots in the path. There are old wall structures, a cemetery and a small steam on this hike."
