"Kamborian has moved from their Carytown location but they're amazing as ever! Was recommended to Kamborian by some gym friends. Joey worked with us through all my hemming and hawing, several appointments, and multiple times of changing my mind when my husband and I went in to look at rings. Ended up with something beautiful and much larger than I ever would have imagined! He even got the ring there in time for our elopement in March right before the covid shut down! "I purchased my fiancee's engagement ring from Kambourian Jewelers. After fruitlessly searching around online and in stores for a setting that I felt was good, I came across KJ and talked with Joey for a while one evening. It was a breath of fresh air after speaking to many jewelers that I couldn't bring myself to trust. We worked together for the better part of two months to find a center stone that met my standards, with him screening out overpriced stones for me along the way. After viewing many stones in person, we finally selected one, and we then worked together to build the setting. I had a concept in my mind that I had described to Joey, and within a week we had a beautiful CAD model of what I wanted. We went through a few revisions afterwards but the end result was a refined version of the initial CAD model. 3D printed models were constructed along the way as well as high resolution renders. The ring was created shortly after, and I was sent (by request) photos of the creation process along the way. I was worried about the finish quality of custom jewelry (not to knock of Etsy jewelers, but there's some rough ones out there), but the ring came out very well polished and smooth. In the end, she loves it, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. I was surprised at how good of a product we received, especially coming in below my budget. If engagement rings are your thing, you may as well own it and make the best of it. The whole process was a fun creative outlet, and I enjoyed it from start to finish."
