"Efficient and friendly! So glad I switched to this pharmacy from a different CVS pharmacy."
"I visited the pharmacy via drive thru to pick up prescriptions. I pulled up and no one was at the window and the normal recording did not come on. I sat there for 5-7 minutes and still no one came. I then pushed the yellow buzzer and, an associate came to the window (I am assuming her name is Rebecca, according to my receipt). When Rebecca came to the window, she slide the window open, instead of using the drawer. I then advised her that I was here to pick up prescriptions. She asked me for my name, and I advised her my name. Rebecca then asked how do you spell it. I advised the first three letters of my first name. Rebecca, then stated, \" I just have to ask because I never know if it is spelled how it is supposed to be spelled or not.\" I found her comment unprofessional, racist and ignorant. My name is spelled in a racially identifiable way, and I am a black woman. According to Rebeccas statement, the \"correct way\" would be the standard white spelling of my name (Alicia), and the black racially identifiable spelling is wrong. I did not respond when she said that; but instead looked at her with a blank stare. At this point she still had the window slide open and asked for my payment. I reached as far as I could but could not reach far enough to put it in her hand; eventually she put the drawer out to take my card. She however, handed me my bag throw the window again, and I had to physically strain myself to reach for it and I was already not well. Please give your employees mandatory, ONGOING implicit bias training and make sure when you are recruiting and screening that you are making sure these persons are comfortable and have experience dealing with a diverse group of people."
